The Money Jungle
''The Money Jungle'' is a 1968 American drama film directed by Francis D. Lyon and written by Charles A. Wallace. The film stars John Ericson, Lola Albright, Leslie Parrish, Nehemiah Persoff, Charles Drake, Kent Smith and Don Rickles. The film was released in February 1968, by Commonwealth United Entertainment. Plot With five rival oil companies vying for offshore rights, their chief geologists begin dying under suspicious circumstances. A troubleshooter, Blake Heller, is brought in by one firm to investigate, resulting in almost immediate attempts on his life as well. Heller takes a particular interest in two women, one a neighbor, Treva Saint, who has stock holdings in his oil company, and Peggy Lido, a nightclub singer. He eventually realizes that it is Peggy and her boyfriend, Paul Kimmel, who are behind the killings, Peggy gaining revenge for her former husband's business schemes. Gerald Michael Charlebois (born April 17, 1929), better known as Michael Forest, is an American actor who provides the voices for many animated titles. Early life Born in Harvey, North Dakota, he moved with his family at a very early age to Seattle, Washington. He graduated with a B.A. in English and drama from San Jose State University. Career At age 71, Forest voiced Prince Olympius in ''Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue''. In his earlier years, he was a film and television actor, notably playing Apollo in the 1967 '' Star Trek'' episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?" Edmund Kealoha Parker (March 19, 1931 – December 15, 1990) was an American martial artist, actor, senior grandmaster, and founder of American Kenpo Karate. Life Born in Hawaii, Parker began training in Judo at an early age and later studied boxing. During the 1940s, Parker was introduced to Kenpō by Frank Chow, who then introduced Parker to William Chow, a student of James Mitose. Parker trained with William Chow while serving in the Coast Guard and attending Brigham Young University, and in 1953 he was promoted to the rank of black belt. Parker, seeing that modern times posed new situations that were not addressed in Kenpo, adapted the art to make it more easily applicable to the streets of America. He called his adapted style American Kenpo Karate. Success and students Parker opened the first karate school in the western United States in Provo, Utah, in 1954. George DeNormand
George DeNormand (1903 – 1976) was an American actor and stuntman. DeNormand was an amateur middleweight boxer in the 1920s. He was a prolific though often uncredited actor and stunt double in movies such as ''The Raven'' and ''Bride of Frankenstein''. He was a stunt double in ''The Lone Ranger'' serials in the 1930s. He made headlines in 1944 when he stole a bracelet valued at $20,000 as a prank and in 1945 due to his connection with a black market meat ration ring. In a 1969 episode of ''My Three Sons'' ("Came the Day"), he was to play the uncle of the bride (Beverly Garland), but he faltered so many times while walking her down the aisle that DeCordova, the director, recast Tony Regan in the role. Jack Clifford (November 26, 1918 – May 12, 2001) was an American film and television actor. Cliff was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, where his father was running a minstrel show, He moved to California, where worked as a laborer in film studios. In California Cliff learned to fly and obtained a flight instructor’s licence, but his plans to go into business as an instructor were interrupted by World War II. During the war he served in the United States Army Air Force, reaching the rank of captain.
