The Mercurymen
The Mercurymen are a British acoustic music trio. They were signed by Arista Records in the UK in 2008. Their first album, ''Postcards From Valonia'' received a limited release in 2008. The Mercurymen originally parted company in 2009 after being dropped by their record label and splitting from their management. However, at the time they expressed their hope to play again together when they were 'old and crinkly and hopefully not dead', a hope borne out by the band's decision to reunite in 2013. During their "first" career, spanning the years 2006-2009, the band performed many live dates around the United Kingdom including acclaimed tours in support of Melody Gardot, Sinéad O'Connor and Deacon Blue. Jinder (musician)
Jinder (born 19 April 1981) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is best known for his extensive catalogue of dark folk- and country-influenced solo work, including his 2019 Top 40 single, 'Keep Me in Your Heart', which features in the 2019 film '' Fisherman's Friends'' and has been successfully covered by many other artists. He is also known for his brief tenure as the frontman of the Mercurymen. Jinder began his musical career as a teen. Career Solo work and Candlefire Jinder was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, in 1981. From the late 1990s, he worked sporadically as a solo artist, before forming the alternative rock troupe Candlefire with Daniel Minshull, Rick Porter, and Mark McComish. Johnnie Walker, MBE (born Peter Waters Dingley; 30 March 1945) is an English radio disc jockey and broadcaster. He began his career on pirate radio, most notably on Radio Caroline. He joined BBC Radio 1 in 1969. He joined BBC Radio 2 in 1998 and currently presents '' Sounds of the 70s'' on Sunday afternoons and ''The Radio 2 Rock Show'' on Friday nights. Janice Berry ( Chegwin; 5 April 1955 – 25 December 2021), known professionally by her first married name Janice Long, was an English broadcaster who was best known for her work in British music radio. In a career that spanned five decades, she became the first woman to have her own daily music show on BBC Radio 1. Level 42 is an English jazz-funk band formed on the Isle of Wight in 1979. They had a number of UK and worldwide hits during the 1980s and 1990s.
