Mentorship is the developmental relationship between a more experienced mentor and a less experienced partner referred to as a protégé or mentee. Mentorship
Mentorship is the influence, guidance, or direction given by a mentor. A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person. In an organizational setting, a mentor influences the personal and professional growth of a mentee. Most traditional mentorships involve having senior employees mentor more junior employees, but mentors do not necessarily have to be more senior than the people they mentor. What matters is that mentors have experience that others can learn from. According to the Business Dictionary, a mentor is a senior or more experienced person who is assigned to function as an advisor, counsellor, or guide to a junior or trainee. The mentor is responsible for offering help and feedback to the person under their supervision. Mentor Court
Mentor Court is a bungalow court located at 937 E. California Blvd. in Pasadena, California. The court is located on a wide property, which is considered narrow for bungalow courts, and comprises five buildings containing eleven residential units; the buildings include single-unit, duplex, and triplex houses, an unusual combination in a bungalow court. The buildings are designed in the English Cottage Revival style and feature jerkinhead roofs, arched doors with glass paneling, and a stoop at each entrance covered by an eyebrow hood. The Delux Building company built the court in 1923. Mentor High School
Mentor High School is a public high school located in Mentor, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Mentor Exempted Village School District (informally, "Mentor Schools"). At one time, it was the largest high school in Ohio based on single building enrollment. For the 2008–2009 school year, it shifted from a three-year school (grades 10–12) to a four-year high school (grades 9–12), serving approximately 2,700 students. Mentor High School educates students from Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, and parts of Kirtland Hills and Concord Township in Lake County, Ohio. Both middle schools from the Mentor Exempted Village School district, Memorial Middle School, Shore Middle School, feed into Mentor High School. Mentor Station
Mentor is a former railroad depot located on Station Street in Mentor, Ohio, Mentor, Ohio. The station opened in 1890. A defunct New York Central Railroad, New York Central freight house is located across the tracks from the depot. The depot is currently open and used by a restaurant. Mentor station is on the National Register of Historic Places as the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern RR Depot and Freight House. History The passenger depot was opened in 1890 by the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway, replacing an older depot on the same line. The station was acquired by the New York Central Railroad after merging with the LS&MS in 1914. Passenger service to Mentor ended in 1949. U.S. Route 20 (US 20) is a United States Numbered Highway that runs from Newport, Oregon to Boston, Massachusetts. Within the state of Ohio, the route runs from the Indiana border near Edon to the Pennsylvania border at Conneaut. The route passes through rural areas west of Toledo, and passes through Public Square in Cleveland. It is one of 9 other routes to enter downtown Cleveland at Public Square, and it serves some of Cleveland's northeastern suburbs. Mentor-on-the-Lake is a city in Lake County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,131 at the 2020 census. History Originally part of Mentor Township, the village was established October 22, 1924. The U.S. Census for 1970 recorded the official population as being over 5,000 and thus it became an incorporated city on February 12, 1971. A vast majority of the land that comprises Mentor-On-The-Lake was originally owned and deeded as the Dickey-Moore tract and extended all the way south beyond U.S. Route 20 in the city of Mentor. A remnant of this era is a property known as Mooreland which was once owned by the Moore family and is situated on land that now houses Lakeland Community College. Mentor Township is a civil township of Oscoda County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,143 at the 2010 census. Communities * McKinley is an unincorporated community in the northeast part of the township along the Au Sable River at . The settlement formed around the J. E. Potts Salt & Lumber Company, and a post office named Potts opened on June 3, 1886. The H. M. Loud & Sons Lumber Company bought the mill and transformed the community's resources toward lumbering. Potts became a thriving lumber town, and the post office was renamed McKinley on January 28, 1892. The town's railroad repair shops burned in 1900, and with the depletion of the area's lumber supply, the town economy was never rebuilt.
