The Mark (New York)
The Mark Hotel is a luxury hotel, situated at 25 East 77th Street, at Madison Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Originally constructed in 1927 in the Renaissance Revival style, the building was purchased by Izak Senbahar of Alexico Group and Simon Elias in 2006 and the building's interiors were reimagined by French designer Jacques Grange in 2009. In addition to housing 106 hotel rooms and 47 suites. the building features a Jean Georges Vongerichten restaurant and bar, a Frédéric Fekkai salon, John Lobb shoe care services, and an exclusive scent by Frédéric Malle and unique illustrations by Jean-Philippe Delhomme. The Mark is also home to the New York location of Caviar Kaspi the renowned Parisian restaurant. Renaissance Revival architecture (sometimes referred to as "Neo-Renaissance") is a group of 19th century architectural revival styles which were neither Greek Revival nor Gothic Revival but which instead drew inspiration from a wide range of classicizing Italian modes. The New York ''Daily News'', officially titled the ''Daily News'', is an American newspaper based in Jersey City, NJ. Mattia Bonetti
Mattia Bonetti (born 1952) is a Paris-based artist and designer. Bonetti was born in Lugano, Switzerland, and studied textile design at the Centro Scolastico per l’Industria Artistica. Bonetti moved from Switzerland to Paris, where he now lives and works. Prior to designing furniture, Bonetti worked as a stylist and photographer. In 1979 he began designing furniture. All of his work begins as a freehand sketch which is then fabricated. Bonetti has worked with the same fabricators for decades, employing craftsmen to make transform his drawings. Ron Arad, ( he, רון ארד; born ) is a British-Israeli industrial designer, artist, and architectural designer. Biography Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a Jewish family. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem between 1971–73, and at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London from 1974-79.
