The Mansion House (also known as The Mansion) is the official summer palace of the President of the Philippines. The mansion is located in the summer capital of the country, Baguio, situated around asl in the Cordillera Central Range of northern Luzon. History The Mansion House was built in 1908 to serve as the official summer residence of American Governors-General at the insistence of Governor-General William Cameron Forbes. The name is derived from the summer cottage in New England of Governor Forbes whose administration the original Mansion House was built under. Architect William E. Parsons, based on preliminary plans by architect Daniel H. The Voorhees Main Street Complex (also known as the Voorhees Complex, Main Street Complex, or simply Main Street) is a shopping center, banquet hall, residential, medical and business complex located in Voorhees, New Jersey, United States. The Mansion is a four-bedroom mansion owned by music producer Rick Rubin in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles. Originally built in 1918, the house is famous for the successful bands who have recorded music there. The house was owned by Errol Flynn in the late 1930s. The Mansion, Berkhamsted is a historic property on Castle Hill in Berkhamsted. It is a Grade II Listed building. History The house was designed by George Hubbard and built by H and J Matthews between 1906 and 1908 for Sir John Evans. Evans was a well known archaeologist and geologist who became President of the Geological Society of London. Evans called the house ''Britwell'' but, after his death 1908, it was bought by Sir Arthur Cory Wright, a businessman, who renamed it ''Berkhamsted Hill''. The house was bought by the Deen family in 1919 and by Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper, a businessman, in 1937. Pulteney Street is a main road which runs north-south through the middle of the eastern half of the Adelaide city centre, in Adelaide, South Australia. It runs north-south from North Terrace, through Hindmarsh and Hurtle Squares, to South Terrace, where it becomes Unley Road. It is the only one of the city centre's major north-south thoroughfares that does not continue northwards over North Terrace. History Pulteney Street was named after Admiral Sir Pulteney Malcolm on 23 May 1837, at the behest of Governor Hindmarsh. On the south-east corner of Pulteney and Rundle streets was the elegant York Hotel, built by entrepreneur and publican C. A. Hornabrook in 1849.
