The Manhattan Project (Ugly Betty)
"The Manhattan Project" (also known as "Nights in Rome or Tucson") is the first episode in the third season, the 42nd episode overall, and the third-season premiere of the American dramedy series '' Ugly Betty'', which aired on September 25, 2008. Plot Two months after the second-season finale, Betty returns to New York after a cross-country solo trip across the United States. It is revealed that she rejected both Gio and Henry in favor of working on herself and her career. Back at home, Betty announces her new goals: to get more responsibilities at work, to not get involve with romantic entanglements, and to get her own apartment in Manhattan. Betty returns to ''Mode'' ready to get to work, but discovers Wilhelmina has made many changes, changing the office to be more cold and severe. ''Ugly Betty'' is an American comedy-drama television series developed by Silvio Horta, which was originally broadcast on ABC. It premiered on September 28, 2006, and ended on April 14, 2010. Alexis Meade (born Alexander Spencer Meade) is a fictional character from the ABC dramedy series ''Ugly Betty'', initially portrayed by Elizabeth Penn Payne (when she was listed in the credits as "Masked Lady") for the first twelve episodes of her appearance. The third season of the American comedy-drama television series '' Ugly Betty'' was confirmed by ABC on February 11, 2008. The season premiere aired on September 25, 2008, while the season ended with a special double episode on May 21, 2009. In Australia, season 3 premiered on 3 November 2009, as one of the first exclusive premieres on the new digital channel 7TWO, after two years on the Seven Network. Henry Grubstick is a fictional character portrayed by Christopher Gorham and featured in American comedy-drama ''Ugly Betty''. It is known that Grubstick has Dutch ancestry, due to the episode " Betty's Wait Problem", so that Grubstick is a Dutch-American.
