The Making Of Fanny And Alexander
''The Making of Fanny and Alexander'' ( sv, Dokument Fanny och Alexander) is a 1984 Swedish documentary film directed by Ingmar Bergman which traces the making of his film ''Fanny and Alexander''. Its running length is 110 minutes and it is photographed by Arne Carlsson. It debuted at the Swedish Film Institute on 16 September 1984, with Bergman in attendance to give a speech. It then aired with a television repeat of ''Fanny and Alexander'' in Sweden on 18 August 1986. In 2011 in Region A, The Criterion Collection released ''The Making of Fanny and Alexander'' on Blu-ray as part of their release of ''Fanny and Alexander''. The film was awarded as "Best documentary" at Chicago International Film Festival 1986 and the Golden Gate Award as "Best film about film" at San Francisco International Film Festival 1987. Ernst Ingmar Bergman (14 July 1918 â€“ 30 July 2007) was a Swedish film director, screenwriter, Film producer, producer and playwright. Ewa Fröling
Ewa Fröling, (Eva Marie Fröling; born 9 August 1952) is a Swedish actress and director who was born in Stockholm. She is internationally most recognized for her leading parts in Gunnel Lindblom's ''Sally och friheten'' (as Sally) and Ingmar Bergman's ''Fanny and Alexander'' (as Emelie). Erland Josephson (; 15 June 1923 – 25 February 2012) was a Swedish actor and author. He was best known by international audiences for his work in films directed by Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky and Theodoros Angelopoulos. Life and career Josephson was born on the island of Kungsholmen, in Stockholm, Sweden, as the son of Maud Ellen Gabrielle (née Boheman) and Gunnar August Josephson, a bookseller of Jewish descent, in 1923.
