The MacDonald Brothers
The MacDonald Brothers, now performing as The Macs, are a Scottish pop folk duo from Ayr, South Ayrshire, Scotland, consisting of brothers Brian and Craig MacDonald. They first rose to prominence in the third UK series of television talent show ''The X Factor'' in 2006, and have since gone on to release four studio albums. Their debut studio album, self-titled ''The MacDonald Brothers'' was released in April 2007 to positive reviews. The album went on to top the charts in their native Scotland and also performed well on the UK Albums Chart, peaking at number 18. The success of their debut album was followed up the same year with their second studio album, '' The World Outside'' which was released in October 2007. South Ayrshire
South Ayrshire ( sco, Sooth Ayrshire; gd, Siorrachd Àir a Deas, ) is one of thirty-two council areas of Scotland, covering the southern part of Ayrshire. Michael Louis Vincent Walsh (born 5 August 1952) is an Irish music manager and television personality. "Bye, Bye, Baby (Baby, Goodbye)" is a popular song written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio, a member of The Four Seasons, whose version of the song made it to No. 1 in Canada and No. 12 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1965. On the original issue of the single, the title was "Bye Bye Baby"; on the album ''The 4 Seasons Entertain You'' (and later issues of the song), the name was changed to the longer, more familiar name. "Real Gone Kid" is a song by Scottish pop rock band Deacon Blue. Vocalist Ricky Ross wrote the song about a performance he saw of ex-Lone Justice singer Maria McKee during a time when Deacon Blue and Lone Justice toured together. The lyrics are a tribute to McKee, with the narrator using the term "real-gone kid" as a designation for craziness, referring to McKee's "wild" onstage performance style. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. Stuart John “Woody” Wood (born 25 February 1957), is a Scottish musician, songwriter and producer. Career Wood is best known as the guitarist for the 1970s band the Bay City Rollers since joining in 1974. During the 1970s, the Bay City Rollers would garner immense popularity, which would be nicknamed Rollermania (the name inspired by that of Beatlemania. Bay City Rollers original members, Derek Longmuir, Alan Longmuir, Les McKeown and Eric Faulkner, have all left the band at certain points from the early 1980s to 2016, leaving Wood as the only member from the classic era still touring as the Bay City Rollers. Syco Music is a defunct division of Syco Entertainment founded by British entrepreneur and record executive Simon Cowell. Originally founded as S Records, the label launched while Cowell was still employed by BMG, the label oversaw music releases by Robson & Jerome, Five, Westlife and Teletubbies. A year later, BMG, now named Sony BMG, bought Cowell's share in both Syco Music and Syco Television.
