Giacomo Gentilomo
Giacomo Gentilomo (5 April 1909 – 16 April 2001) was an Italian film director and painter. Biography Born in Trieste, at very young age Gentilomo moved to Rome, where at 21 years old he entered the cinema industry, working as a script survivor and an assistant director. Active between 1933 and 1937 as a film editor, in 1939 he debuted as a director with ''Il Carnevale di Venezia''. In 1945 his film ''O sole mio'' got critical acclaim, but later his career was mainly devoted to genre films, and failed to achieve significant critical interest. Dissatisfied with cinema, in the mid-1960s Gentilomo decided to abandon films and to fulfill his passion for painting. Gualtiero Tumiati
Gualtiero Tumiati ( 8 May 1876 – 23 April 1971) was an Italian actor and stage director. Life and career Born in Ferrara, Tumiati studied at the College of the Oaks in Florence and there he attended the acting courses held by Luigi Rasi. He later graduated in law and while working as an apprentice lawyer at his father's law firm he started performing in some local stage companies. Tumiati's breakout role was Cyrano de Bergerac in a critically acclaimed representation of the Edmond Rostand's eponymous play held in 1910. With his wife, the actress and painter Beryl Hight, in 1928 Tumiati founded the "Sala Azzurra" ("Blue Room"), one of the first Avant-garde theaters in Italy. He taught acting at the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in Rome and at the Accademia dei filodrammatici in Milan. Giovanni Petrucci (said Gianni; born 19 July 1945, in Rome) is an Italian sports director. He is the current President of CONI for the fourth consecutive term, that will end after the Games of the XXX Olympiad of 2012. His career took place primarily between the Italian Football Federation (where he was special commissioner of the Italian Referees Association) and the Italian Basketball Federation (of which he was elected president in two consecutive occasions), before becoming on 29 January 1999, President of CONI, succeeding Bruno Grandi in the position in 1999.
