The Long Road Home (film)
''The Long Road Home'' is a 1999 American television film, directed and written by Craig Clyde. It stars Michael Ansara (in his final film role before his death in 2013), T.J. Lowther and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The film tells the story of a city boy's life after having to live with his grandparents in a village after his parents' death. Plot After his mother died, 12-year-old Seth George ( T.J. Lowther) goes to live with his grandparents on their farm. Grouchy old Murdock (Michael Ansara) is not very happy with the presence of his grandson and is rather hard on him. He was strongly opposed to the mixed marriage of his daughter and doesn't want to hear anything about Seth's Indian father who died a hero in Vietnam when Seth was still a baby. His grandmother (Sandra Shotwell) on the other hand was very fond of Seth but after a while she passes away. Seth also meets the charming yet sporting Annie Jacobs (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Craig Clyde is an American actor, screenplay writer, and film director. He lives in Salt Lake City and is the father of K. C. Clyde. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Michael Ansara
Michael George Ansara (April 15, 1922 – July 31, 2013) was an American actor. He portrayed Cochise in the television series '' Broken Arrow'', Kane in the 1979–1981 series '' Buck Rogers in the 25th Century'', Commander Kang in ''Star Trek: The Original Series'', Deputy U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart in the NBC series ''Law of the Plainsman'', and provided the voice for Mr. Freeze in '' Batman: The Animated Series'' and several of its spin-offs. Ansara received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work in the television industry, located at 6666 Hollywood Boulevard. Al Harrington (born Tausau Ta'a; December 12, 1935 – September 21, 2021) was a Samoan-American actor. He is best known for his role as Detective Ben Kokua on television series ''Hawaii Five-O'' and as Mamo Kahike on its 2010 reboot. He had previously appeared in five episodes of the series as other characters. Biography Al Harrington was born Tausau Ta'a on December 12, 1935, in Pago Pago, American Samoa. He was raised by his maternal grandmother in the village of Mapusaga in Pago Pago until he was three. His mother, Lela Suapaia, sent for him to join her while she was working as a nurse in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. She later married Roy Milbur Harrington a native of Iron Mountain, Michigan, who had come to Honolulu as a serviceman with the US Army.
