''The Loft Sessions'' is the third album from California-based worship collective Bethel Music. The album was released on January 24, 2012 by Kingsway Music. Brian Johnson, Daniel James Mackenzie and Rick McDonald produced the album. Prior to the release of the album, Kingsway Music released "Come to Me" which featured the vocals of Jenn Johnson on December 13, 2011 as the lead single of the album. Background The album was recorded live over the course of several nights in a refurbished loft in the historic Sherven Square building. The Bethel Music collective gathered with friends and family for the duration of the recordings. Bethel Music is an American music label and worship movement from Redding, California, originating out of Bethel Church (Redding, California), Bethel Church where they started making music in 2001. Bethel Music has grown from being a local church music ministry to a global outreach made up of a collective of songwriters, artists and musicians. They focus on producing worship songs and albums that are largely written and recorded by members of their Artist Collective. Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources about contemporary Christian music. William Matthews (musician)
William Irvin Matthews (born November 5, 1983) is an American Christian musician. He started his music career in 2011, with the release of '' Hope's Anthem'', by Bethel Music alongside Kingsway Music. Early life Matthews was born William Irvin Matthews on November 5, 1983, in the city of Detroit to a father who was a preacher and a mother who was a choir director. At 12 years old, he moved with his family to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he started honing his acumen as a songwriter. His baptism occurred when he was 18 years old. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri for the first part of 2007, where he attended worship services at International House of Prayer. Jeremy Michael Riddle (born October 18, 1977) is an American Christian musician, songwriter, and worship leader, best known for a long tenure as an ensemble leader with Bethel Music. Background Born in Mount Holly Township, New Jersey Jeremy Riddle's debut album, ''Full Attention'', was released on March 6, 2007. It peaked on the ''Billboard'' Top Christian and Gospel Albums Chart at No. 47, and the only single released from the album, "Sweetly Broken", peaked at No. 19 on both the ''Billboard'' Hot Christian Songs and Christian Airplay Charts.
