The Little Fox
''The Little Fox'', known in Hungary as ''Vuk'', is a 1981 Hungarian animation, animated film produced by Pannónia Filmstúdió, based on the novel ''Vuk (novel), Vuk'' by István Fekete. The film is directed by Attila Dargay and written by Attila Dargay, István Imre and Ede Tarbay, and released in 1981. A computer animated and widely panned sequel, ''A Fox's Tale'', was released in 2008. Plot The film tells the story of a little fox kit, Vic (Vuk in the original Hungarian version), who ventures away from his family's den and, upon his return finds it empty. He concludes that his whole family left the den with the human hunter (called "Smoothskinner" in the cartoon) because he can smell him. His uncle Karak finds him, decides to keep Vic in this comforting thought instead of telling him the truth, then offers for Vic to stay with him, and Karak continues to raise him. Attila Dargay
Attila Dargay (June 20, 1927 – October 20, 2009) was a Hungarian comics artist and animator. He was born in Nyékládháza, Mezőnyék. Life He began working as a scenery painter for the Hungarian National Theatre in the late 1940s. He directed such animations productions as ''Hajra, Mozdony!'' (1972), ''Mattie the Goose-boy (1977 film), Mattie the Goose-boy'' (1977), ''The Little Fox'' (1981), ''Szaffi, The Treasure of Swamp Castle'' (1985), and ''Captain of the Forest'' (1988). He studied at the College of Fine Arts in Budapest until 1948 when he was discharged because of political reasons. From 1951 he worked as a stage setting painter at Hungary's National Theatre, and in parallel he worked as a trainee on animated films, from 1954 he worked as a cartoon planner. The Fox And The Hound
''The Fox and the Hound'' is a 1981 American animated buddy drama film produced by Walt Disney Productions and loosely based on the 1967 novel of the same name by Daniel P. Mannix. The 24th Disney animated feature film, the film tells the story of the unlikely friendship between a red fox named Tod and a hound dog named Copper. The two friends struggle to preserve their friendship despite their emerging instincts and the surrounding social pressures demanding them to be adversaries, as they are enemies by nature.
