The Late Show With Ewen Cameron
''The Late Show with Ewen Cameron'', (also known as ''The Late Show'') is a late-night talk show television programme that originally was broadcast in Scotland on the STV2 network channel presented by comedian and television personality Ewen Cameron. The show began broadcasting in January 2016, originally on the STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh networks, until both channels were axed in 2017 and merged to form the new STV2 channel, where the programme aired at 10:30 pm. On 16 May 2018, it was announced that STV2 would close and all of its original programming including ''The Late Show with Ewen Cameron'' would be axed in June 2018. The final episode aired on 28 June 2018 ahead of the STV2 closure on 30 June 2018. Ewen Cameron (television Presenter)
Ewen Cameron (born 23 May 1972) is a Scottish comedian, television presenter and radio DJ. He currently presents on Bauer Media's Greatest Hits Radio Scotland and hosts ''The Big Scottish Football Podcast'' alongside Steven Mill. Cameron hosted the late-night television programme ''The Late Show with Ewen Cameron'' on STV2 from 2016 to 2018. He was also host of STV2 lifestyle show '' Live at Five'', from 2016 until 2018, as well as hosting a variety of STV television specials, including, ''The Festival Show'' and ''Scotland's Big Sleep Out''. Early life Cameron grew up in Edinburgh and attended Tynecastle High School. He has two brothers; their parents split when they were young. ''Live at Five'' (also known as ''Live at 7.30'') is a Scottish topical entertainment and magazine programme which originally aired on STV2 in Scotland, excluding weekends which looked at the latest on the current trends happening in Scotland from music, art and culture among others. The show was presented by David Farrell and Jennifer Reoch with other presenters such as Hayley Matthews, Liam Dolan, Rachel McTavish, Ewen Cameron, Susie Cormack Bruce or Zara Janjua being present whenever Farrell and/or Reoch were unable to present the programme. The programme airs at 5pm and during its ''Live at 7.30'' editions, the programme aired at 7.30pm. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. STV Edinburgh
STV Edinburgh was a British local television channel based in Edinburgh which launched on 12 January 2015. It was owned and operated by STV Group plc in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University. The channel was closed on Sunday 23 April 2017 and replaced by STV2, a semi-national network of local TV stations which itself closed on 1 July 2018. History STV were awarded local TV licences in January 2013 to operate two digital television channels, under the working titles of GTV and ETV, in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively, for up to 12 years.
