The Last Hit Man
''The Last Hit Man'' is a 2008 direct-to-video crime thriller film directed by Christopher Warre Smets. It tells the story of an aging contract killer who finds himself in crisis between his daughter and his job after an assignment gone awry. The film won the award for Best Feature Film at the 2008 Canadian Film Festival. Synopsis After he botches a hit, an aging hitman (Joe Mantegna) discovers that he's dying and decides to hide the truth from his daughter, who's also his business partner and getaway driver. Joe Mantegna
Joseph Anthony Mantegna (, ; born November 13, 1947) is an American actor. Mantegna began his career on stage in 1969 in the Chicago production of the musical ''Hair''. He earned a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play and a Joseph Jefferson Award for portraying Richard Roma in the first American productions of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize–winning play '' Glengarry Glen Ross'', the first of many collaborations with Mamet. His long-standing association with Mamet includes the premieres of ''A Life in the Theatre'', ''The Disappearance of the Jews'' and ''Speed-the-Plow'' on Broadway. Mount Eerie is the musical project of American songwriter and producer Phil Elverum. Elverum (also of The Microphones) is the principal member of the band, but has collaborated with many other musicians on his records and in live performances.
