''The Last Dance'' is Spice 1's seventh studio album. It was released on May 16, 2000 in the U.S., and features appearances from rap artists MJG, RBL Posse, The Outlawz, Bad Azz, UGK, and C-Bo. This was also his first independent album since leaving Jive. It was well received by fans, praising Spice for returning to his raw lyricism and murderous tales, reminiscent of previous albums such as ''187 He Wrote'' and ''AmeriKKKa's Nightmare''. Robert Lee Greene, Jr. (born July 2, 1970), better known by his stage name Spice 1 (an acronym for "Sex, Pistols, Indo, Cash and Entertainment"), is an American rapper from Hayward, California. Jive Records
Jive Records was an American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary to the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965 in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. It then went through several name changes, being known as Soul LPs in the 1970s and Top Black Albums in the 1980s, before returning to the R&B identification in 1990 and affixing a hip hop designation in 1999 to reflect the latter's growing sales and relationship to R&B during the decade. Thurston Slaughter, known professionally as Crime Boss, is an American rapper formerly signed to Suave House Records. Crime Boss debuted on 8Ball & MJG's album ''On the Outside Looking In'' in 1994. He signed with Suave House and issued his debut the following year entitled '' All in the Game''. The album peaked at No. 113 on the ''Billboard'' 200. He followed up in 1997 with his most successful album, '' Conflicts & Confusion'', released by Relativity Records, which went to No. 25 on the Billboard 200. Sean Miguel Thompson, better known by his stage name Sean T, is an American rapper and record producer from East Palo Alto, California. Throughout his career both as a rapper and a producer, he has released seven solo albums, two albums with his group Murder One Gangstas and has worked with some of California's top rappers, including E-40, C-Bo, and 3X Krazy. Biography Sean T started his career in 1989 as a DJ before becoming a member of the rap group M.O.G. (short for Murder One Gangstas). Lawrence Carl Demetrious White,(born 16 December 1979) better known by his stage name 40 Glocc, is an American rapper. Early life White was born in Greenville, Texas. At the age of 10, he moved with his mother to various locations in California, until finally settling in the Inland Empire city of Colton. He began rapping with friends and by 1997, his group, the "Zoo Crew", were recording and promoting their first album, ''Migrate, Adapt or Die'', produced by Tony G and Julio G. Outlawz (formerly known as Outlaw Immortalz) are an American hip hop group founded by rapper Tupac Shakur in late 1995 after Shakur's release from prison. Shawn Thomas, also known by his stage name C-Bo, is an American rapper. C-Bo, notoriously known for his relationship with law enforcement, was one of the first rappers to be jailed due to his lyrical content, a scathing critique of political officials, including governor Pete Wilson, California's Prop. 184 mandatory 25-life sentences for three strike felons, and police on his track "Deadly Game" written with rapper X-Raided in 1995. Hardcore hip hop (also hardcore rap) is a genre of hip hop music that developed through the East Coast hip hop scene in the 1980s.
