The Kry
The Kry is a Christian rock and worship band from Quebec City, Canada. The band consists of Jean-Luc La Joie (vocals, bass and acoustic guitars), Yves La Joie (drums, percussion, and backing vocals), Nic Rodriguez (bass guitar), and Steve Marcia (electric guitar). In addition to their invitational songs, ballads, rock music, and thought-provoking lyrics, they are also known for Cassie's Song. This song was inspired by the Columbine shootings and it looks to God for healing and an explanation, while encouraging believers to be steadfast at any cost. In 1995 their album ''You'' reached number 27 on ''Billboard''s Top Christian Albums chart. That same year ''Unplugged'' hit 40, while in 1996 ''What About Now'' peaked at 30th position. Wes King
Wes King (born January 20, 1966) is an American contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, photographer, and musician. He is perhaps best known for his 1993 album ''The Robe.'' His demo material, a cassette tape named "Lonely Poet", is sung by other artists, such as Kim Hill. He briefly attended Covenant College outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the late 1980s. He also led worship at Christian youth retreat camps. Background After picking up the guitar at the age of 14, Wes wrote his first songs two years later; after studying the Bible at Covenant College, he relocated to Franklin, Tennessee. Wes signed with Reunion Records and recorded his first solo LP The Ultimate Underlying No Denying Motivation in 1990. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. Harvest Crusade
Greg Laurie (born December 10, 1952) is an American author and pastor who serves as the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in Riverside, Orange County and Maui. Laurie came to faith at the age of 17 as the Jesus Movement was exploding in Southern California. He has written a book, ''Jesus Revolution''” about his experiences from that great American spiritual awakening. Spirit West Coast
Spirit West Coast (SWC) is a Christian music festival that features Christian artists from several different genres. It also features lectures, workshops in tents, kids' shows, petting zoos, and comedians. Spirit West Coast was founded by five families in 1995. It began in 1997 as a yearly festival in Monterey, California. Later, an additional festival in Del Mar, California, was added. These two festivals are held every summer. The festivals are members of the Christian Festival Association. Many of the most popular Christian acts play concerts for the attendees. These include Michael W.
