The Kid From Broken Gun
''The Kid from Broken Gun'' is a 1952 American western action film directed by Fred F. Sears, and starring Charles Starrett, Jock Mahoney, Angela Stevens, Tristram Coffin, and Myron Healey. The film was released by Columbia Pictures on August 16, 1952. This film became the 65th and final in the Durango Kid series. Plot After having threatened Matt Fallon, Jack Mahoney is on trial for Fallon's murder and the theft of a strong box. His friends Steve Reynolds and Smiley Burnette await the verdict. Mahoney's attorney, Gail Kingston, puts on a poor defense and Mahoney is jailed. Doc Handy arrives with proof of ownership of the stolen box, but is killed before he can testify. Steve Reynolds (secretly The Durango Kid) tells of the discovery of hidden Santa Ana gold believed to be in the stolen strong box. Emmett Lynn
Emmett Earl Lynn (February 14, 1897 – October 20, 1958) was an American actor of the stage and screen. Early life Lynn was born in Muscatine, Iowa. When he was nine years old, Lynn became a song plugger in Denver, Colorado. From that beginning he moved to performing in a children's revue. Gus Edwards spotted Lynn and put him in a production of Edwards' ''School Days''. Lynn served in the Army during World War I. Buddy Roosevelt (born Kenneth Stanhope Sanderson; June 25, 1898 – October 6, 1973) was an American film and television actor and stunt performer from Hollywood's early silent film years through the 1950s. Biography Roosevelt was born as Kenneth Stanhope Sanderson in Meeker in Rio Blanco County in northwestern Colorado. He was an athlete and a cowboy in his youth. Harold Fraser (9 November 1889 – 19 January 1962), known professionally as Snub Pollard, was an Australian-born vaudevillian, who became a silent film comedian in Hollywood, popular in the 1920s. Career Born in Melbourne, Australia, on 9 November 1889, Pollard began performing with Pollard's Lilliputian Opera Company at a young age. Like many of the actors in the popular juvenile company, he adopted Pollard as his stage name.Another well-known performer in the company, Daphne Trott also did so. They were not related.
