The Jane Pauley Show
''The Jane Pauley Show'' was an American syndicated talk show packaged by NBC Universal, hosted by veteran journalist Jane Pauley. The show premiered on August 30, 2004. Pauley and other people involved with the show, before its premiere, were not aware of how she would adapt to the medium. Pauley has shown that she can handle serious interviews (from her experience on ''Today'' and ''Dateline NBC''), but it was not immediately evident if she could hold her own in a medium which is heavily laden with impersonality. The show's ratings were not impressive, and the show was canceled, with the final episode airing in May 2005. The show was broadcast from Studio 8G in 30 Rockefeller Center, which had formerly housed a succession of syndicated talk shows including ''The Phil Donahue Show'', ''The Rosie O'Donnell Show'', and ''The Caroline Rhea Show''. NBC Studios (New York City)
NBC Studios are located in the historic 30 Rockefeller Plaza (on Sixth Avenue between 49th and 50th streets) in Manhattan, New York City. The building houses the NBC television network headquarters, its parent NBCUniversal, and NBC's flagship station WNBC (Channel 4), as well as cable news channel MSNBC. The first NBC Radio City Studios began operating in the early 1930s. Tours of the studios began in 1933, suspended in 2014 and resumed on October 26, 2015. ''The Caroline Rhea Show'' is a short-lived American syndicated variety/talk show hosted by actress and comedian Caroline Rhea. It premiered on September 2, 2002, and ran until May 21, 2003. The show was regarded as the successor to ''The Rosie O'Donnell Show''; Rosie O'Donnell selected Rhea, who had hosted the last few weeks of ''Rosie'', as her replacement. It premiered on June 10, 1996, and concluded after six seasons on May 22, 2002. ''The Phil Donahue Show'', also known as ''Donahue'', is an American television talk show hosted by Phil Donahue that ran for 26 years on national television. Its run was preceded by three years of local broadcast on WLWD in Dayton, Ohio, and it was broadcast nationwide between 1970 and 1996. Jane Pauley
Margaret Jane Pauley (born October 31, 1950) is an American television host, and author, active in news reporting since 1972. Pauley first became widely known as Barbara Walters's successor on the NBC morning show ''Today'', beginning at the age of 25, where she was a co-anchor from 1976 to 1989, at first with Tom Brokaw, and later with Bryant Gumbel; for a short while in the late 1980s she and Gumbel worked with Deborah Norville. In 1989, with her job apparently threatened with Norville's addition to the program, she asked to be let out of her contract, and her request was granted. Her next regular anchor position was at the network's newsmagazine ''Dateline NBC'' from 1992 to 2003, where she teamed with Stone Phillips. In 2003, Pauley left NBC News and in 2004–05 hosted ''The Jane Pauley Show'', a syndicated daytime talk show which was canceled after one season.
