Tadeusz Konwicki
Tadeusz Konwicki (22 June 1926 – 7 January 2015) was a Polish writer and film director, as well as a member of the Polish Language Council. Life Konwicki was born in 1926 as the only son of Jadwiga Kieżun and Michał Konwicki in Nowa Wilejka, where he spent his early childhood. His father died early and Konwicki lived with his great-aunt and great-uncle who he later depicted in his novels. He attended a local King Zygmunt August gymnasium. Immediately following the outbreak of World War II, Wilno was occupied by the Soviet Union and subsequently by Nazi Germany, and all education for Poles was discontinued. Konwicki continued his studies underground and joined the eighth Oszmiana Brigade of the Home Army that took part in the nationwide guerrilla operation code-named Operation Tempest and Operation Ostra Brama. Anna Dymna
Anna Dymna (née Dziadyk ) (born 20 July 1951) is a Polish TV, film and theatre actress. Foundress of a charity foundation Mimo Wszystko (Against the Odds). Career Anna Dymna intended to study psychology before she decided to take an entrance examination for the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Cracow. While still a student, Dymna performed at the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Cracow. In 1969 she played the role of Isia and Chochoł in the performances of Stanisław Wyspiański's '' Wesele''. Dymna also made her film debut when she was still a student, playing a role in Henryk Kluba's ''Pięć i pół bladego Józka'' (1971) but, because that film was actually never shown on screens, her first official film role is considered to be the role of Gabrysia in the same year's ''Szerokiej drogi, kochanie'' directed by Andrzej J. Danuta Szaflarska
Danuta Szaflarska (; 6 February 1915 – 19 February 2017) was a Polish film and stage actress. In 2008 she was awarded the Złota Kaczka for the best Polish actress of the century. Szaflarska participated in the Warsaw Uprising as a liaison. Szaflarska was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta, Commander's Cross and Commander's Cross with Star, one of Poland's highest Orders and Gold Medal of Gloria Artis (2007). Personal life Szaflarska was born in Kosarzyska, Piwniczna-Zdrój ( Galicia, Austria-Hungary, now Poland). She married her first husband, Jan Ekier, a pianist, in 1942. They had one daughter, Maria. Edward Dziewoński (16 December 1916 in Moscow, Russian Empire – 17 August 2002 in Warsaw, Poland) was a Polish stage and film actor, and theatre director. He studied acting at Państwowy Instytut Sztuki Teatralnej and debuted at the Syrena Theatre. Zygmunt Konieczny (born 3 January 1937) is a Polish composer of Musical theatre, theatre and film music. Zygmunt Konieczny spent his childhood in the village of Szczyrzyc.
