The Invincible Gladiator
''The Invincible Gladiator'' (Italian: ''Il gladiatore invincibile'', Spanish: ''El gladiador invencible'') is a 1961 film directed by Alberto De Martino and Antonio Momplet. The film stars Richard Harrison. Plot summary Twelve-year-old royal king Darius, the tyrannical Rabirius, leads Acastus, a member of the Roman Empire. Gladiator Rezius saves the life of Rabirius and is tasked with leading a military expedition to destroy the band of mountain robbers. In the course of his mission, Rezius discovers that the bandits are in fact rebels led by Darius' sister Sira. Rezius's gladiator friends raise the people to rebellion, Darius ascends the throne, and Sira and Rezius get each other. Alberto De Martino
Alberto De Martino (12 June 1929 – 2 June 2015) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Born in Rome, De Martino started as a child actor and later returned to the cinema where worked as a screenwriter, director and dubbing supervisor. De Martino's films as a director specialised in wellcrafted knock-offs of Hollywood hit films. These films were specifically created films in Western, horror and mythology genres which were developed for the international market. ''The Daily Telegraph, The Telegraph'' stated that his best known of these film was probably ''The Antichrist (film), The Antichrist''. La Pedriza
La Pedriza is a geological feature on the southern slopes of the Guadarrama mountain range of great scenic and leisure interest. Access is from Manzanares el Real, a municipality in the northwest of the Community of Madrid (Spain). Geological forces have created a remarkable boulder field of strangely eroded granitic outcrops, and nearly a thousand rock climbing routes of all difficulties are available to rock climbers, making it an immensely popular locale for rock climbers, especially due to its proximity to Madrid.
