The Intruder (2010 Film)
''The Intruder'' ( th, เขี้ยวอาฆาต; ) also known as ''the revenge of the king cobra'' is a 2010 Thai horror film directed by Thanadol Nualsuth and Thammanoon Sakulboonthanom. Based on a story by filmmaker Poj Arnon, the plot involves an apartment complex in Thailand being overrun by vicious cobras. ''The Intruder'' was the second highest grossing film in Thailand in its opening week being only beaten by ''Iron Man 2''. It received its North American premiere at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma. Plot summary In an old house next to an apartment complex in Thailand, a man is bitten to death by a snake. The special services and the media congregate but are only able to find a few snakes. Poj Arnon
Poj Arnon ( th, พชร์ อานนท์; formerly spelled: พจน์ อานนท์) is a Thai film director. He is best known for his 2007 film ''Bangkok Love Story'', that won him the Grand Prize (International Competition) at the Brussels International Independent Film Festival. Biography Career Poj began his career in the 1980s as an advertising sales manager for ''Ter-Kab-Chan Magazine'', eventually becoming the magazine's chief editor. His work on the magazine enabled him to scout out and groom many of the Thai teen movie stars of the era. He started working in the Thai film industry in 1992, working as an assistant director on ''Sa-Daew-Haew'' by Five Star Production. Akara Amarttayakul ( th, อัครา อมาตยกุล, born Puttichai Amarttayakul th, พุฒิชัย อมาตยกุล; April 19, 1974), nicknamed Gof, is a Thai actor, model and singer. He made is film debut in Euthana Mukdasanit's 1991 film, ''Vithi Khonkla'', but the first feature film to star him was '' Mae bia'' (2001). Some of Akara's most notable works include ''Necromancer'' (2005) and '' Muay Thai Chaiya'' (2007). The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), held annually in Seattle, Washington since 1976, is among the top film festivals in North America.
