Inquisitor
An inquisitor was an official (usually with judicial or investigative functions) in an inquisition – an organization or program intended to eliminate heresy and other things contrary to the doctrine or teachings of the Catholic faith. Literally, an inquisitor is one who "searches out" or "inquires" (Latin ''inquirere'' < ''quaerere'', 'to seek'). Inquisitors sought out the social networks that people used to spread heresy. There were accounts where the Inquisition could not tell who was a heretic or devout, and they were killed anyway. One of these accounts was Arnaud Amalric at the storming of Béziers. Inquisitor is a Cocoa plug-in for Mac OS X developed by David Watanabe. Overview Inquisitor replaces the Google search bar in Safari or Camino with a predictive-typing feature that can be used for the Google search engine, as well as other sites like a9.com, IMDb.com or Wikipedia. It is also available as an Ajax-powered web application, for use on browsers other than Safari, including Windows and Linux machines. Camino Inquisitor is only available for Safari as of the release of Inquisitor 3.0 beta 1, due to the small percentage of Camino users using it. The last supported version of Inquisitor for Camino was 2.6. Grand Inquisitor ( la, Inquisitor Generalis, literally ''Inquisitor General'' or ''General Inquisitor'') was the lead official of the Inquisition. The title usually refers to the chief inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition, even after the reunification of the inquisitions. Secretaries-general of the Roman Inquisition were often styled as ''Grand Inquisitor'' but the role and functions were different. The Portuguese Inquisition was headed by a Grand Inquisitor, or General Inquisitor, named by the Pope but selected by the king, always from within the royal family. Inquisitorial System
An inquisitorial system is a legal system in which the court, or a part of the court, is actively involved in investigating the facts of the case. This is distinct from an adversarial system, in which the role of the court is primarily that of an impartial referee between the prosecution and the defense. Inquisitorial systems are used primarily in countries with civil legal systems, such as France and Italy, or legal systems based on Islamic law like Saudi Arabia, rather than in common law systems. It is the prevalent legal system in Continental Europe, Latin America, African countries not formerly under British rule, East Asia (except Hong Kong), Indochina, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. ''All for One'' is the third studio album by English Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Raven (British band), Raven, released in August 1983. This would be their last album outside of a major label, also being said by fans to be their last "golden age" album, containing some of their finest work. ''Inquisitor'' is a 2009 role-playing video game developed by Czech company Cinemax. The game was in development for almost 10 years before its release in 2009. Three more years were needed to translate the game into English, and it was released on GOG.com on September 5, 2012. On June 1, 2013, ''Inquisitor'' was greenlit on Steam. Gameplay ''Inquisitor'' plays similarly to the ''Baldur's Gate'' series, being a top-down role-playing game. First, the player creates a character, choosing from the classes of priest, paladin, or thief. The player then travels throughout the world, fighting against monsters along the way. The player also investigates crimes against God and the king by finding evidence against the suspect, after which they may be arrested, tortured, and, after conviction, burned at the stake. ''Inquisitor'', subtitled "A 40K Forum", is a game magazine published by Armorcast that focussed on Games Workshop's tabletop science fiction miniature wargame ''Warhammer 40,000'' Description After Games Workshop (GW) published the first edition of Warhammer 40,000 in 1987, Tim DuPertuis of Santa Rosa, California became interested in the game, and in 1991 began to publish a quarterly fanzine called ''Inquisitor''. At about the same time, GW licensed Mike Blasi to create new ''Warhammer'' vehicles. In 1995 DuPertuis formed a licensing agreement with veteran Warhammer model creator Mike Blasi and created the company Armorcast to produce their models. The Grand Inquisitor, introduced simply as The Inquisitor and also known as the Master of the Inquisitorius, is a fictional character in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. Calosoma Inquisitor
''Calosoma inquisitor'' (the lesser searcher beetle or caterpillar-hunter) is a species of ground beetle. The species is found in northern Africa, Europe (northward to southern Scandinavia) and East to Asia Minor, Iran and the Caucasus, with isolated populations in eastern Siberia and Japan. The imagines are predatory on various insects and their larvae, especially, feed on Lepidoptera larvae. They can fly well and are found not only on the ground, but also in bushes and on trees. In case of danger the beetle can fall and then threaten by lifting up the front body and spreading the mandibles. The females lay about 50 eggs. The hatching larvae are also predatory and develop very quickly. They're in the ground. The beetles emerge in June, but still linger in a diapause until next spring in the ground.
