The Impulse International is a rock 'n' roll band formed in Jersey City, New Jersey in 2003. History The band consists of three members: Julius A. Buck (guitar, vocals), J.D. Romeo (bass, vocals) and Rob C. Sterling (aka Ricardo Baron, aka Rob Farren, drums). Buck (a.k.a. Adam Rabuck) and Romeo formed the Impulse International after the dissolution of Buck's former band Dirt Bike Annie. Originally called The Impulse, a man claiming to own the trademark for "Impulse" relating to music performance threatened to sue them. "The name of your band is in direct conflict with a Trademark that I own. Please find another name for your band and remove all references from the web including the name IMPULSE," he said. "This could get very expensive for you as I have owned the name Impulse under class 041 Entertainment services in the nature of band performances, since 1983. Dirt Bike Annie
Dirt Bike Annie was a rock band formed in New York City that played pop punk and power pop music. Band history Dirt Bike Annie was formed in 1993 by Adam Rabuck while he was a student at New York University. The band's two other consistent members throughout the years were bassist/vocalist Dan Paquin and guitarist/vocalist Jeanie Lee. Drummers in the band included Mike Yannich (later of The Ergs!), Heth Weinstein (later of Heth and Jed, who during his tenure with the band was called "Dirt Bike Deano"), Tommy Vinton from Too Much Joy, and Dennis Donaghy. At the top of 1996, Dirt Bike Annie released their first 7" on their own label called Richie Records. Too Much Joy
Too Much Joy is an American alternative rock music group, that formed in the early 1980s in Scarsdale, New York. Members The original members were Tim Quirk (vocals), Jay Blumenfield (guitar, vocals), Sandy Smallens (bass, vocals) and Tommy Vinton (drums). During 1982-1983 Tommy LaRussa temporarily replaced Vinton as drummer. Smallens departed on amicable terms in 1994; producer William Wittman joined on bass guitar and vocals after Smallens's departure. Blumenfield was also in Fields Laughing (which released an EP in 1985 on Stonegarden Records) and Smallens was also in Beauty Constant (whose ''Like the Enemy'' LP was issued in 1987). Dirtnap Records
Dirtnap Records is an independent record label specializing in punk rock. It was founded by Ken Cheppaikode while he was living in Seattle, Washington, in 1999. He bought Green Noise record store in Portland, Oregon, in 2005 and then ran the label from there. Cheppaikode started the label while working for Mordam Records, distributor of many punk labels and ''Maximumrocknroll'' magazine. Naturally, Mordam also distributed Dirtnap's early releases. However, immediately before Mordam merged with Lumberjack Distribution in 2005, Cheppaikode chose to switch to RedEye Distribution. In 2006, Dirtnap agreed to an exclusive licensing deal with Railer Entertainment Music Licensing which immediately led to the inclusion of several Dirtnap bands on the soundtrack of the PlayStation 3 game, ''Skate''.
