The Impassive Footman
''The Impassive Footman'' is a 1932 British, low-budget "quota quickie" drama film directed by Basil Dean and starring Owen Nares, Betty Stockfeld, Allan Jeayes and George Curzon. The film's sets were designed by Edward Carrick. It was also released under the alternative title ''Woman in Bondage''. Plot On a cruise ship, Mrs Marwood becomes involved in a platonic relationship with the ship's doctor who treats her hypochondriac husband. This leads to a series of violent quarrels, all witnessed by the family's footman who is the only one who knows entirely what is going on. George Curzon (actor)

Commander Chambré George William Penn Curzon (18 October 1898 – 7 May 1976), known as George Curzon, was a Royal Navy commander, actor, and father of the present Earl Howe. Curzon, born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England, was the only son of diplomat The Hon. Frederick Curzon-Howe (a son of The 3rd Earl Howe) and his wife, the actress Ellis Jeffreys. Curzon trained for the Navy at the Royal Naval College, Osborne, on the Isle of Wight, and first saw action in the First World War. Aubrey Mather (17 December 1885 – 16 January 1958) was an English character actor. Career Mather was born in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, and began his career on the stage in 1905.
