The Hostel (TV Series)
''The Hostel'' is a Ugandan drama series created by Sabiiti "MMC" Moses and Emanuel "BUUBA" Egwel about the lives of university students in their hostels. The show premiered on NTV Uganda in 2011 and ran for four seasons. The fourth season which was titled Serenity saw a fresh new cast and in a new hostel. The season premiered on 23 February 2015. The series aired on NTV Uganda, DSTV - Africa Magic Entertainment, ZUKU TV and NTV KENYA, Canal France International and their African Partners, eTV, Star Times and Rwanda TV. The series started airing in the UK on 4 February 2013 on Channel 182 Ben TV for the European continent audience. Hellen Lukoma
Hellen Lukoma is a Ugandan, actress, model, fashion designer and singer. She is well known for her roles as Patra on The Hostel, Hellen Mutungi on Beneath The Lies, kyaddala. She rose to fame as a member of the all girl music group The Obsessions before venturing into modelling, fashion design and acting. Background Hellen was born and raised in Kampala. '' Deception '' is a Ugandan drama television series developed by Edris Matu Segawa and directed by George Kihumbah. The series ran on NTV Uganda for eight seasons from 2013 to 2016. The series won a number of awards including 2014 RTV Awards for Best TV Drama of the year, 2015 RTV Awards as Best TV Drama of the year and 2016 Uganda Entertainment Award for Best TV Series. Richard Tuwangye (born 16 October 1980) is a Ugandan actor, comedian, and musician. He is a founding member of Fun Factory Uganda. Early life and education Richard Tuwangye was born 16 October 1980 to Enock Tuwangye and Hope Tuwangye in Masaka, Uganda. In 1987 he began his primary school in Molly and Paul Primary School. It was here that he started acting as early as Primary One, in a school drama.
