The Hooten Hallers
The Hooten Hallers are an American blues/ rock'n'roll band that formed in Columbia, Missouri in 2007. History The band was founded by guitarist/lead vocalist John Randall and drummer/ falsetto vocalist Andy Rehm, who performed as a duo and were known for their raucous and often improvised live performances. Paul Weber briefly joined the band in 2013–14 on harmonica and tuba, and wrote several of the group's songs, such as "She Used to Love My Music" and "Trouble Is". Baritone and bass saxophonist Kellie Everett joined in 2014 and solidified the group's line-up as a trio. The Hooten Hallers are a "high-energy blues, soul and rock and roll band known for their gritty Americana roots music". After a number of self-released albums, the Hooten Hallers signed with Big Muddy Records in 2012, releasing their album "Greetings From Welp City!" which featured harmonica work by Ryan Koenig of Pokey LaFarge. The Dead South
The Dead South is a folk- bluegrass musical ensemble based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The band was initially formed in 2012 as a quartet by Nate Hilts (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Scott Pringle (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Danny Kenyon (cello, vocals) and Colton Crawford (banjo). Crawford left the band in 2015 and was replaced by studio musician Eliza Mary Doyle for several years. Crawford re-joined the band starting with the Voices In Your Head tour in mid-2018. The Winnipeg Folk Festival is a nonprofit charitable organization with an annual summer folk music festival held in Birds Hill Provincial Park, near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The festival features a variety of artists and music from around the world and is sure to include a number of local artists. Stuart Daniel Baker (November 7, 1954), better known by his stage name Unknown Hinson, is an American singer, musician, songwriter, comedian, and actor. The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band is a three-piece American country blues band from Brown County, Indiana. They have played up to 250 dates per year at venues ranging from bars to festivals since 2006. James Lewis Carter Ford (probably June 24, 1923 – July 16, 2013) was an American blues musician, using the name T-Model Ford. Unable to remember his exact date of birth, he began his musical career in his early 70s, and continuously recorded for the Fat Possum label, then switched to Alive Naturalsound Records. His musical style combined the rawness of Delta blues with Chicago blues and juke joint blues styles. Biography According to records, Ford was born in Forest, Mississippi, between 1921 and 1925. JD Wilkes & The Dirt Daubers are an American roots music band. The frontman for the band is JD Wilkes of the Legendary Shack Shakers. History The group formed in Paducah, Kentucky in 2009. Their self-titled debut album was released on October 13, 2009, on Arkam Records. The album notes also give performance credits to label owner Jamie Barrier and Katie Barrier, both of The Pine Hill Haints. Barrier is also the great nephew of The Barrier Brothers bluegrass group.
