The Hit Factory Volume 2
''The Hit Factory Volume 2'' is a compilation album released in November 1988 by Fanfare Records and PWL Records. It was an album featuring hits produced by British production trio Stock Aitken Waterman who were at their peak at the time of the album's release. The first compilation '' The Hit Factory: The Best of Stock Aitken Waterman'' was issued by Stylus in 1987. The range of tracks included four special 12" remixes, exclusive to the set, and also a previously unavailable track by an American group called Sequal. The album gained a platinum BPI Award and reached #16 in the UK Top 100 Album Chart. When compilation albums were excluded from the main chart on January 14, 1989, the album crossed to the new chart for the remainder of its run. The Extra Beat Boys were a British Audio engineer, audio engineering and Record producer, production duo for Pete Waterman's label PWL which consisted of Jamie Bromfield and Boyowa 'Yoyo' Olugbo. ''Record Mirror'' reported in June 1988 that Yoyo had left to engineer exclusively for Stock, Aitken & Waterman and Kevin O'Reordan replaced him. Jigsaw (British Band)
Jigsaw was an English pop rock band best known for their 1975 hit "Sky High". The band was fronted by the singer-songwriter duo of Clive Scott and Des Dyer for most of its life. Following Scott's death in 2009, it has been the platform for Dyer's solo work. In Australia, the group was called "British Jigsaw" due to the existence of an Australian band of the same name. "The Loco-Motion" is a 1962 pop song written by American songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King. "The Loco-Motion" was originally written for R&B singer Dee Dee Sharp, but Sharp turned the song down. The song is notable for appearing in the American Top 3 thrice, each time in a different decade: in 1962 by Little Eva (U.S. No. 1); in 1974 by Grand Funk Railroad (also U.S. No. 1); and in 1988 by Kylie Minogue (U.S. No. 3). Pat And Mick
Pat and Mick were a British pop duo, consisting of popular radio personalities Pat Sharp and Mick Brown, both of whom are from London. They released a charity single, a cover version, each year from 1988 to 1993, achieving a top-10 hit with their 1989 single "I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet". The royalties from their record sales were donated to Capital FM's 'Help A London Child' charity. All their singles were produced by Stock Aitken & Waterman except "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "Hot Hot Hot", both of which were produced by Stock & Waterman.
