The Hills (season 1)
The first season of '' The Hills'', an American reality television series, consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast on MTV. It aired from May 31, 2006, until August 2, 2006. The season was filmed from August 2005 to June 2006 in Los Angeles, California, with additional footage in New York City. The executive producer was Liz Gateley. ''The Hills'' focuses on the lives of Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, and Heidi Montag. During the season, Conrad moves from Laguna Beach to Los Angeles. Accompanied by her best friend and housemate Montag, the pair attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, though the latter left the college after receiving employment from Bolthouse Productions. Conrad befriends Port through an internship with '' Teen Vogue'', while Montag develops a companionship with Patridge after learning that she lives in their apartment building. Lauren Conrad
Lauren Katherine Conrad (born February 1, 1986)) is an American television personality, fashion designer and author. In September 2004, as an 18-year-old, Conrad came to prominence after being cast in the reality television series '' Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County'', which documented her and her friends' lives in their hometown of Laguna Beach, California. New City, New Drama
"New City, New Drama" is the pilot episode of '' The Hills'', the first spin-off of '' Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County''. It originally aired on MTV on May 31, 2006. In the episode, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag move into an apartment in Los Angeles. Conrad befriends fellow ''Teen Vogue'' intern Whitney Port, while Montag bonds with their neighbor Audrina Patridge. Conrad is later scolded after Montag and her companions arrive uninvited to a corporate event. "New City, New Drama" was produced by Tony DiSanto, Adam DiVello, Liz Gateley, Colin Nash, and Andrew Perry. Lisa Love (born February 10, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is the West Coast Director of ''Vogue'' and '' Teen Vogue''. Career Love spent most of her childhood in Rome, Geneva, and Paris. The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) is a private college in downtown Los Angeles. It offers degree programs in majors including fashion, entertainment, beauty, interior design, and graphic design. The college was founded in 1969 by Tonian Hohberg, the institute's president and CEO.
