Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir
The Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir is a Canadian indie rock band led by Hugh Dillon and based in Kingston, Ontario. The band's style draws from country, pop, punk and new wave influences. History Dillon formed the band in Kingston in 2004. Lead singer Dillon projected a less aggressive style in this band than in his previous group Headstones. That year the band released an album, ''The High Co$t of Low Living'', through Paul Langois' Ching Music label. Two tracks from this album were included as extras in the DVD version of the dramatic series ''Durham County: Season 1''. The Redemption Choir performed in the Tragically Hip's Across the Causeway show. The band's members also performed behind Dillon on his solo album ''Works Well with Others'' in 2009, released through Paul Langois' Bathouse Studio. The Tragically Hip, often referred to simply as the Hip, were a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario in 1984 in music, 1984, consisting of vocalist Gord Downie, guitarist Paul Langlois, guitarist Rob Baker (guitarist), Rob Baker (known as Bobby Baker until 1994), bassist Gord Sinclair, and drummer Johnny Fay. Hugh Dillon (born May 31, 1963) is a Canadian singer and actor who is the lead vocalist of rock band Headstones. He is also a film and television actor; his notable roles include Mike Sweeney in '' Durham County,'' Ed Lane in '' Flashpoint'' and Sheriff Donnie Haskell in '' Yellowstone.'' He is also the co-creator, executive producer and series regular of the Paramount+ series ''Mayor of Kingstown.'' Early life Dillon was born and grew up in Kingston, Ontario. Dillon grew up living on the same street as future NHL star Doug Gilmour and would play hockey with him on the frozen swamp in their neighbourhood.
