The Heart Specialist (1922 Film)
''The Heart Specialist'' is a 1922 American silent film, silent romantic comedy film directed by Frank Urson and starring Mary Miles Minter and Allan Forrest. It was adapted by Harvey Thew from a story by Mary Morrison. As with many of Minter's features, it is thought to be a lost film. Plot As described in various film magazine reviews, Rosalie Beckwith (Minter) works for a New York newspaper, editing a column devoted to romance. When her editor (Mathis) threatens to dismiss her on the grounds that romance does not exist, Rosalie bets her job that she can find romance within forty miles of the newspaper office. Arriving at a small town chosen at random, Rosalie is mistaken for Muriel Murat Bey, the cousin and heir of Bob Stratton (Forrest), a wealthy but wounded and ailing war veteran. Accepting this misidentification, Rosalie moves in to Stratton's estate, where she rapidly falls for the wounded veteran, and also incurs the enmity of family physician Dr. Fitch (Beery). Frank Urson
Frank John Urson (March 21, 1887 – August 17, 1928) was an American silent film Film director, director and cinematographer from Chicago, Illinois. Originally a photographer, he moved on to cinematography and film directing for the Thanhouser Company in New Rochelle, New York. He is also credited with acting in one film, ''Her Gallant Knights'', which starred William Garwood in 1913. Urson directed ''Changing Husbands''. He is perhaps best known for his 1927 film ''Chicago (1927 film), Chicago'', produced by Cecil B. DeMille. Biography He was born on March 21, 1887, in Chicago, Illinois. Roy Atwell
John Leroy "Roy" Atwell (May 2, 1878 – February 6, 1962) was an American actor, comedian and composer, known for playing characters that mis-deliver their lines or stammer, most notably Doc from Walt Disney's classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Biography Born in 1878, Atwell was educated at the Sargent School of Acting, and appeared in 34 films between 1914 and 1947. He was the voice of Doc in Disney's ''Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs''. As well as his film work, he appeared in several Broadway productions, including ''The Little Missus,'' ''The Mimic World,'' ''Oh, My Dear!,'' '' The Firefly'', and ''How's Your Health?'' Carmen Phillips (born Anna Catherine Phillips; September 15, 1888 – December 14, 1966) was an American actress of the silent era. She appeared in more than 60 films between 1914 and 1926, frequently as a "vamp". Biography A native Californian, Phillips performed on stage in musical comedies and as a Floradora Girl before films. Her stage name, "Carmen," came from her work as an "operatic contralto." She died from complications of multiple sclerosis and her ashes are interred at Live Oak Memorial Park in Monrovia, California. James F. Neill (September 29, 1860 – March 16, 1931) was an American stage actor and film actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 110 films between 1913 and 1930. Biography Graduated from the University of Georgia in 1882, James Neill immediately embarked on a theatrical career which spanned nearly fifty years with stage appearances in every state in the Union, the territories (including Hawaii), and the provinces of Canada, in addition to film appearances in the studios of many of the major early Hollywood producers.
