The Guilty Demos
''The Guilty Demos'' is a demo version of the Barbra Streisand album ''Guilty'' by Barry Gibb. Not intended for release tapes of these had been circulating among fans before bootleg CDs started emerging. In October 2006 Gibb made these available through iTunes. Recording Recorded in October 1979 after the Bee Gees' 1979 Spirits Having Flown Tour, all of the songs were written that same year except "The Love Inside" which was written in 1978 during work on the album ''Spirits Having Flown''. All songs features Gibb's falsetto voice, except "What Kind of Fool" where he used his natural voice. Barry said that they sent five songs he wrote with Robin Gibb, Robin. The end date of the Spirits Having Flown Tour is 6 October and at that time Robin left Miami to stay for a few months at his house in Long Island, New York. Barry Gibb
Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. With his younger brothers, fraternal twins Robin and Maurice Gibb, he formed a songwriting partnership beginning in 1955. He has lived in Britain, Australia, and the United States, holding dual UK–US citizenship, the latter since 2009. Robin Gibb
Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 – 20 May 2012) was a British singer and songwriter. He gained worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees pop group with elder brother Barry and fraternal twin brother Maurice. Robin Gibb also had his own successful solo career. Their youngest brother Andy was also a singer. Gibb was born in Douglas on the Isle of Man to English parents, Hugh and Barbara Gibb; the family later moved to Manchester for three years (where Andy was born) before settling in Redcliffe, just north of Brisbane, Australia. Gibb began his career as part of the family trio (Barry-Maurice-Robin). When the group found their first success, they returned to England, where they achieved worldwide fame. "Guilty" is a vocal duet between Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. The song was written by all three Bee Gees: Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb. Released as a single from Streisand's 1980 album of the same name. "Guilty" peaked at No. 3 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart and No. 5 on the adult contemporary chart. In the UK, the song reached No. 34 on the UK Singles Chart. The single was certified gold by the RIAA. ''Elaine Paige'' is the second solo album from Elaine Paige, released in 1981. The album charted at no. 56 in May 1982 and was re-issued on CD in 1995 by Warner Music. The recording was produced by Tim Rice and Andrew Powell. Paige had met Rice when she was cast as Eva Perón in the original stage production of his musical ''Evita'' in 1978. He also wrote lyrics for a number of the tracks on the album. Rice's former writing partner Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the arrangement of the track "The Second Time", for which Rice had set words to Francis Lai's theme to the film '' Bilitis''. The track "Secrets" was originally written for the Barbra Streisand album ''Guilty'', but didn't make it on to the final record. Background The songs on the ''Guilty'' album were a collaboration between Streisand and all the members of the Bee Gees, including Barry's brothers, Robin and Maurice Gibb.
