Vivian Green
Vivian Sakiyyah Green (born May 22, 1979) is an American R&B singer-songwriter and pianist. Early life Green was born May 22, 1979 in the East Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, and took an interest in singing, playing the piano, and songwriting at a very young age. At the age of thirteen, she became a member of a female quintet called Younique. She is a graduate of what is now Parkway Northwest High School for Peace and Social Justice. Green has credit for writing "Dear God" by Boyz II Men, from their 1997 album ''Evolution''. Green received her big break at the age of nineteen when she became a backup singer for Jill Scott, who took her on an international tour. She signed to Columbia Records in late 2000. ''Beautiful'' is the third studio album by American singer Vivian Green. It was released by E1 Music on April 6, 2010 in the United States. Her first album after her departure from Columbia Records, on which she released her first two albums, Green reteamed with longtime friend and collaborator Anthony Bell to work on ''Beautiful'', with addition production provided by Jason Farmer. Title track "Beautiful" served the album's leading single and was released February 23, 2010. The song entitled "Jordan's Song" is also a dedication to her son. Leslie Edward Pridgen (born August 6, 1978), better known by his stage name Freeway, is an American rapper from North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jessy Wilson is an American singer from Brooklyn and former member of the rock duo Muddy Magnolias. Early life Wilson was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. Career Muddy Magnolias After high school Wilson began to sing backup for Alicia Keys on her albums and tours. She then moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2013 to get her music career started. J-vibe (born Jose Jimenez Jr in East Los Angeles, California) is a composer and record producer who is known for his prolific original compositions. He is an important part of the underground West Coast rap and dance scene. He has also been a computer software programmer since he was 13 years old. J-vibe's ability to compose music in a large range of styles is one of his best-known traits. Considering his many hip-hop and electronica productions, he credits his major musical influences to Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, John Carpenter, Ultravox and the ethnic music of Los Angeles. Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music.
