''The Great Love'' (Swedish: ''Den stora kärleken'') is a 1938 Swedish comedy film directed by Anders Henrikson and starring Tutta Rolf, Håkan Westergren and Karin Swanström.Qvist & Von Bagh p.86 It was shot at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Arne Åkermark. Synopsis Agenes, a maid, leads a lonely life. A friendly worker at a local food stall tries to cheer her up by inventing a secret romantic admirer. Anders Henrik Henrikson (13 June 1896 – 17 October 1965) was a Swedish actor and film director. He appeared in more than 50 films between 1913 and 1965. Linnéa Paulina Hillberg, ''née'' Nilsson (26 October 1892 – 3 July 1977) was a Sweden, Swedish actress. Biography Born in Uddevalla on the Swedish west coast, Linnéa Hillberg made her stage debut in 1913. Early on she acted (1914-18) with the Karin Swanström Theatre Company and 1920-27 she was part of Ernst Eklund (actor), Ernst Eklund's Komediteatern (The Comedy Theatre). In between and during this time she appeared in a number of early Swedish silent films. Maria Helena "Mimi" Pollak (9 April 1903 – 11 August 1999) was a Swedish actress and theatre director. Biography Maria Helena Pollak was born in Karlstad, Värmland to Austrian-Jewish parents and was trained in the performing arts at the prestigious Royal Dramatic Training Academy in Stockholm 1922-24. Pollak worked in the 1920s and 1930s as a film actress and as stage actress mainly on Helsingborg City Theatre and The Blanche Theatre, Stockholm, but she returned as an actress to Royal Dramatic Theatre ( Dramaten) 1942. Pollak became in 1948 the first contracted female director at the Dramaten with the production of Jean Genet's ''Jungfruleken'' (''Les Bonnes''/''The Maids''), starring Anita Björk and Maj-Britt Nilsson in the leads.
