''The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha'' is a 2023 Indian legal drama streaming television series on Disney+ Hotstar. It is an adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King's ''The Good Wife'', being directed by Suparn Verma and featuring Kajol in the lead role. The series is centered on a housewife who, after 10 years, returns to work at a law firm to support her family when her husband gets imprisoned. The series was announced in July 2022 with the principal photography commencing a month later, in August. It was released on Disney+ Hotstar on 14 July 2023. Premise Noyonika Sengupta, a law school graduate, gave up her career for the sake of her family ten years ago. After her husband Rajeev Sengupta is arrested, who is an additional judge, sex and corruption scandal puts him behind bars, Noyonika is forced to start her career from the scratch.
