The Golden Hour (Maiya Williams Novel)
''The Golden Hour'' is a children's novel by Maiya Williams. It was first published in 2004 and is the first of the Golden Hour time travel series. It tells the story of Rowan Popplewell and his sister, Nina, who, while emotionally disturbed by the death of their mother, travel back in time to the French Revolution. Plot summary ''The Golden Hour'' tells the story of Rowan and Nina's adventures the summer after their mother's death. Thirteen-year-old Rowan's life is at an all-time low: his father has turned to drinking, the family business is becoming a financial disaster, they have had to move from their house to a small apartment, and his musically talented ten-year-old sister Nina has become withdrawn. But when he arrives he finds strange things starting to happen ...

The Golden Hour (Beatriz Williams Novel)
''The Golden Hour'' is a 2019 historical fiction novel by Beatriz Williams. Plot Reception ''The Golden Hour'' was well received by critics, including a starred review from ''Kirkus Reviews,'' who hailed it as "a fresh twist on the WWII love story, with a narrator who practically demands Myrna Loy come back to life to play her in the movie." NPR's Denny S. Bryce called the novel "a refreshingly bittersweet read" that "brims with mystery and danger" and highlighted Williams's characters, saying they're "complex, daring and intriguingly human." While the novel included various historical homages, Bryce indicated feeling "a bit shortchanged at times" due to the lack of prominent figures such as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Despite wishing for these adjustments, Bryce concluded that the novel was like "fresh taffy. Warm, salty, a little bitter, and sweet — it pulls the reader in steadily without breaking apart." '' Publishers Weekly'' started their review by highligh ...

The Golden Hour (TV Series)
''The Golden Hour'' is a four-part British television medical drama series, written and created by Andrew Rattenbury, first broadcast on 14 September 2005 on ITV. The series, which stars Richard Armitage, Navin Chowdhry, Zoe Telford and Ciarán McMenamin, centres on the activities of a specialist medical unit, the HEMS — or Helicopter Emergency Medical Service — which is based in London and operated by the London Ambulance Service. The title of the series refers to the hour which is deemed the most critical for patients with extensive injuries or severe medical conditions. Notably, promotional trailers for the series carried the tagline, "You Have One Hour to Live... or Die." The series was one of four commissions, alongside ''Vincent'', ''Afterlife'' and '' All About George'', made by then-head of drama at ITV, Nick Elliott, in an attempt to attract a younger demographic. Prior to filming, the lead actors trained with the real HEMS team from the Royal London Hospital in ...
