The George Sugarman Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to honor the memory and wishes of George Sugarman. History George Sugarman (1912–1999) was an American artist working in the mediums of drawing, painting, and sculpture. Often described as controversial and forward-thinking, Sugarman's prolific body of work defies a definitive style. Gwyneth Scally (born in Washington, DC) is a visual contemporary artist in New York, United States. Artwork Scally's work is figurative and psychological, much of it deals with elevating biology over religion and with issues of nature and ecology. It includes large scale paintings, installation, and fiberglass sculpture. Scally worked as an artist in Arizona for the last decade. Becca Bernstein
Becca Bernstein (born 1977) is an American artist. She lives and works in Oregon and Scotland. Life and work Becca Bernstein graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and studied at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. She survived two near-fatal car accidents in the summer of 2000, recovering fully from spinal and internal injuries. Bernstein’s art typically addresses issues of community and human interdependence. She has also worked closely with residents of senior care homes in Oregon and Scotland, which she says has led her to explore human relationships in the contemporary age. Geoffrey Laurence (born 1949) is an American realist painter. He lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Laurence was born in Paterson, New Jersey. The child of Holocaust survivors, he was brought up and educated in London, England. He attended the Byam Shaw School of Art from 1965 to 1968, where he received the London Certificate in Art and Design and studied with Bridget Riley and Bill Jacklin. From 1968 to 1969, he studied graphic design under Tom Eckersley at the London College of Printing and then Saint Martins School of Art from 1969 to 1972 where he studied painting under Frederick Gore and received his BA. Valeri Larko (born 1960) is an American painter of urban and industrial landscapes. She is known for her cityscapes, painted en plein air. Early life, education and early career Born in Freeport on Long Island, New York, Larko grew up in Parsippany, New Jersey. Sol Kjøk is a Norwegian-born, NYC-based visual artist and founder of NOoSPHERE Arts, a nonprofit exhibition and performance venue on the Lower East Side in Manhattan.
