John 'Dusty' King
John 'Dusty' King (born Miller McLeod Everson, July 11, 1909 – November 11, 1987) was a singer and film actor renowned for his Westerns particularly the Range Busters series. Biography Everson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joan Barclay
Joan Barclay (born Mary Elizabeth Greear; August 31, 1914 – November 22, 2002) was an American film actress of the 1930s and 1940s, starring mostly in B-movies and cliffhangers, with her career starting during the silent film era. Biography Early life and career The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Greear, Barclay was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A 1923 newspaper item reported that she was "a singer and player" whose bird imitations had been broadcast on radio. Her family moved to California when she was still a child due to her mother's wishing to escape the cold climate of the north. Moving to Hollywood to pursue acting, Barclay received her first role at the age of 12, which was credited with her billed as Geraine Greear, in the 1927 film ''The Gaucho'', starring Douglas Fairbanks and Lupe Vélez. Craig Reynolds (actor)
Craig Reynolds (born Harold Hugh Enfield, July 15, 1907 – October 22, 1949) was an American film actor of the 1930s and 1940s. Early life and career Reynolds was born in Anaheim, California, in 1907, the son of Leila Maybelle (née Goold) and Oscar Davenport Enfield. Reynolds enjoyed a film career spanning the 1930s and 1940s, although the majority of his roles occurred during the first decade of his career. As an actor with Warner Brothers he was seen as a rising star and played second lead in several films throughout the 1930s. These included ''Paris in Spring'' (1935), '' Gold Mine in the Sky'' (1938) and ''The Mystery of Mr. Wong'' (1939). However, his career stalled after he left acting to join up during World War II. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his military service, and returned to acting following the war. Ross Santee (August 16, 1888 – June 28, 1965) was a cowboy, writer, and illustrator. He specialized in works set in the U.S. state of Arizona. Biography Born in Thornburg, Iowa, Santee's boyhood ambition was to become an artist and cartoonist. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but in early manhood found no demand for his work. Unemployed and discouraged, he drifted westward to central Arizona in 1915. The Grand Canyon State had been admitted to the Union only three years earlier, and major cattle spreads were still hiring frontiersmen to serve as cowboys. The Eastern artist found that he could function as a horse wrangler, and began to put pen to paper to depict his new life. Johnnie Morris (actor)
Johnnie Morris (June 15, 1887 – October 7, 1969) was an American actor and comedian who began his career in Vaudeville and then worked in the movies. Biography Morris was born in New York City. In 1905, he was hired by Gene Leroy to be part of the Leroy Trio, a Vaudeville act which featured Leroy as a drag singer with two teenage singers supporting him. The other member of the group was a 15-year-old Julius Marx in his professional debut. The Trio first performed at the Ramona Theatre, in Grand Rapids, MI on July 16, 1905. The diminutive actor played newsboys, jockeys, and characters named 'Peewee' in a film career that lasted from 1912 to 1942. One of his most notable roles was that of Pappy Yokum in the 1940 film version of ''Li'l Abner''. He died on October 7, 1969 in Hollywood, California.
