The Gentleman (film)
''The Gentleman'' is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language vigilante action film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Allu Aravind, starring Chiranjeevi, Juhi Chawla, Harish Kumar and Paresh Rawal. It is a remake of the Tamil film '' Gentleman'' (1993). Three of the songs were re-used without any change in tune or instrumentation, from A. R. Rahman's original compositions for the original Tamil version. Plot Vijay (Chiranjeevi) owns a little agarbatthi making business. When he is not busy with this, he is a master thief who steals crores and crores of money in order to build and run a school where students can freely study to become doctors, lawyers, etc. The police, led by Paresh Rawal are always on his tail, but he is ever elusive. ''Gentleman'' is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language heist action film co-written and directed by S. Shankar in his directorial debut, and produced by K. T. Kunjumon. The film stars Arjun, Madhubala and Subhashri, with M. N. Nambiar, Manorama, Goundamani, Senthil, Charan Raj, Vineeth, and Rajan P. Dev in supporting roles. It revolves around a respected Madras-based businessman who moonlights as a thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor for their education. ''Gentleman'' was released on 30 July 1993, and distributed by Kunjumon himself as distributors were reluctant. Rahat Indori, born as Rahat Qureshi, (1 January 1950 – 11 August 2020) was an Indian Bollywood lyricist and Urdu poet. He was also a former professor of Urdu language and a painter.
