Kirio Urayama
was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Hyōgo Prefecture, Urayama graduated from Nagoya University before joining the Nikkatsu studio in 1954. After working as an assistant director to Yūzō Kawashima and Shohei Imamura, he debuted as a director with ''Foundry Town'' in 1962, a film that depicted the life of Zainichi Korean residents of Japan. He won the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award for that film. His 1963 film '' Bad Girl'' (''Each day I cry'') was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Golden Prize. He directed a total of nine films before his untimely death in 1985. Takuya Fujioka
was a Japanese actor. He is most famous for playing the role of Daikichi Okakura on the television drama series '' Wataru Seken wa Oni Bakari''. Fujioka attended Kwansei Gakuin University but dropped out because of illness. His first starring role in the film was in the ''Gambare Nihondanji''. He died of chronic kidney disease on 20 October 2006 at the age of 76. His final film appearance was in The '' Blooming Again '', released in 2004. Susumu Fujita
Susumu Fujita () (8 January 1912 – 23 March 1991) was a Japanese film and television actor. He played the lead role in Akira Kurosawa's first feature, ''Sanshiro Sugata'', and appeared in other Kurosawa films including ''The Men Who Tread On the Tiger's Tail'' (as Togashi, commander of the border guards) and ''The Hidden Fortress'' (as General Tadokoro). Later, he was a supporting actor in Ishirō Honda's '' Mothra vs. Godzilla'', among many other films. Before and during World War II Fujita was considered one of the great stars of Japanese cinema. is a Japanese actor and singer. His nickname is . Biography Kobayashi attended Meiji University but left before graduating. He became an actor at Nikkatsu and made his film debut with "Ueru Tamashii" directed by Yuzo Kawashima in 1956. Sanezumi Fujimoto
was a Japanese film producer. He served as the head of production for Toho Studios. He was co-producer of Akira Kurosawa's ''The Hidden Fortress''. He also produced many other films, including Yasujirō Ozu's ''The End of Summer'', Kihachi Okamoto's ''The Sword of Doom'' and ''Japan's Longest Day'' and several films directed by Mikio Naruse. After co-producing ''The Hidden Fortress'', Fujimoto had the task as Toho's head of production of convincing Kurosawa to form his own production company. He had to convince Kurosawa that his own production company would be to his advantage, even though the main reason Toho wanted Kurosawa to form his own production company was to avoid the risk of cost overruns as had happened on ''The Hidden Fortress''.
