The Gambler (1995 Film)
''Gambler'' is a 1995 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Dayal Nihalani, which is a remake of the Malayalam film ''Aanaval Mothiram''. Plot Police Inspector Dayashanker Pandey is a slacker, a man who does not want to put his life under any risk, and is quite comfortable sharing tall tales, and a desk job. Fate has other plans for him, for whenever he goes on duty outside, he somehow apprehends some criminals or some smuggled goods or drugs. He thus becomes the pride of his division, much to his discomfort. For Dayashanker knows that if he is publicly felicitated, this will put him in the black books of many underworld gangsters, which will rip his comfortable and easy-going life apart. Dev Kohli (2 November 1942) is an Indian Hindustani poet and lyricist. He penned hundreds of songs in Bollywood films and churned out numerous hit songs such as ''Maaye Ni Maaye'', ''Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen'', ''Geet Gaata Hoon'',''O Saki Saki'' etc. Early life Kohli was born in a Sikh family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Vinod Rathod (born 12 September 1962) is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in Bollywood films. Rathod is the son of late classical musician, Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod. Music career His career started when Usha Khanna after listening to his voice in a cassette called him in April 1986, to sing a qawwali, "Mere Dil Main Hai Andhera, Koi Shamma To Jala De" in Do Yaar.
