The Funny Face Of The Godfather
''L'altra faccia del padrino'' (internationally released as ''The Funny Face of the Godfather'') is a 1973 Italian parody film directed by Franco Prosperi. It is a spoof of Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 film ''The Godfather''. Plot The film partially follows the plotline of the 1972 film The Godfather but with numerous visual gags and sketch comedies along the way. One major difference is that the protagonist is a young man who acts disguised as the godfather. Franco Prosperi
Franco Prosperi (2 September 1926 – 17 October 2004) was an Italian film director and screenwriter, active between the mid-1960s and the early 1980s. Born Francesco Prosperi in Rome, Prosperi began his career as an assistant director with Mario Bava and with whom he also wrote several screenplays. In 1966, he made his directorial debut, credited as Frank Shannon, with the thriller film, ''Tecnica di un omicidio'' and over the years he built a solid reputation as a director of crime-action films. He also occasionally directed comedies (with Lando Buzzanca or Alighiero Noschese) and, in the final stage of his career, at the beginning of the 1980s, several low-budget sword and sorcery films. Fausto Tozzi
Fausto Tozzi (29 October 1921 – 10 December 1978) was an Italian film actor and screenwriter. He appeared in 70 films between 1951 and 1978. He wrote the script for ''The Defeated Victor'', which was entered into the 9th Berlin International Film Festival. He also directed one film, '' Trastevere''. Life and career Born in Rome, after graduating in accountancy Tozzi made several humble jobs, including peddler and bird taxidermist. He was introduced in the cinema industry by Sergio Amidei, for whom he worked as a stenographer. Through Amidei, Tozzi met Renato Castellani, with whom he collaborated as a screenwriter for '' Professor, My Son'' (1946) and ''Under the Sun of Rome'' (1948, based on a Tozzi's original story). Titanus Films
Titanus is an Italian film production company, founded in 1904 by Gustavo Lombardo (1885–1951). The company's headquarters are located at 28 Via Sommacampagna, Rome and its studios on the Via Tiburtina, 13 km from the centre of Rome. Lombardo ran the studios until his death in 1951. His son, Goffredo Lombardo (1920–2005) and later his grandson, Guido Lombardo have continued to run the company. The company has been responsible for hundreds of Italian productions. Romano Puppo
Romano Puppo (25 March 1933 – 11 May 1994) was an Italian stuntman and actor. Life and career Born in Rome, Puppo debuted in 1961 in the Mauro Bolognini's drama '' Careless'', and after a number of very minor roles he soon became a regular of Italian genre cinema in roles of henchmen and villains. Mainly active in Spaghetti Westerns and Poliziotteschi films, he was also cast as the Paolo Villaggio's antagonist in a number of comedies. He was hired as Lee Van Cleef's stuntman and double stand-in by director Gianfranco Parolini for his ''Sabata'' trilogy, and was one of his pallbearers in 1989. He served as his stuntman in a number of films including '' Sabata'' (1969), ''Commandos'' (1968) along Giampiero Albertini, and ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' (1966) along Benito Stefanelli. Lenny Montana (born Leonardo Passafaro; March 13, 1926 – May 12, 1992) was an American actor who played the role of feared hitman Luca Brasi in ''The Godfather''. Prior to becoming an actor, he had a successful career as a professional wrestler and worked as an enforcer for the Colombo crime family.
