The Fox (2007 Book)
''The Fox'' is the continuation of the story of the fictional protagonist Inda (novel), Inda. Overview As the second son of the Prince and Princess of Choraed Elgaer, Inda was fated to protect the realm his older brother would inherit. Forced to flee his homeland before his thirteenth birthday, he finds himself on the perilous decks of a pirate ship, forcing himself never to think of all he has lost. But his military skills and inborn natural leadership ability cannot be erased, and four years later, Inda has become head of his own mercenary marine company, with a reputation for protecting merchant vessels against the marauding bands of pirates that plunder the waters. Matt Stawicki
Matt Stawicki (born in Delaware) is a professional illustrator best known for providing cover art for science fiction and fantasy novels. Career His work has also been used for videogame covers, collectible card images, collectors plates and fantasy pocket knives. He claims the work of Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell as his traditional influences. Working mainly in " digital paint" he is also influenced by the visual worlds created by Walt Disney, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. He studied at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, graduating in 1991. He began his professional career in 1992. He is noted for his work for the Dragonlance series. Sherwood Smith
Sherwood Smith (born 1951) is an American fantasy and science fiction writer for young adult literature, young adults and adults. Smith is a Nebula Award finalist and a longtime writing group organizer and participant. Smith's works include the YA novel ''Crown Duel''. Smith also collaborated with Dave Trowbridge in writing the ''Exordium (book series), Exordium'' series and with Andre Norton in writing two of the books in the ''Solar Queen'' universe. In 2001, her short story "Mom and Dad at the Home Front" was a finalist for the Nebula Award for Best Short Story. Smith's children's books have made it on many library Best Books lists. Her ''Wren's War'' was an Anne Spencer Lindbergh Honor Book, and it and ''The Spy Princess'' were Mythopoeic Awards, Mythopoeic Fantasy Award finalists.
