Louis De Funès
Louis Germain David de Funès de Galarza (; 31 July 1914 – 27 January 1983) was a French actor and comedian. He is France's favourite actor, according to a series of polls conducted since the late 1960s, having played over 150 roles in film and over 100 on stage. His acting style is remembered for its high-energy performance and his wide range of facial expressions and tics. A considerable part of his best-known acting was directed by Jean Girault. One of the most famous French actors of all time, Louis de Funès also enjoys widespread international recognition. Jean Marco (born Jean Marcopoulos; 17 December 1923 – 24 June 1953), was a French singer and composer. Lead singer of the orchestra of Jacques Hélian from 1947 to his death in 1953, Jean Marco is the first performer of ''C'est si bon'' in 1948. Biography Jean Marc was born in 1923 in Constantinople. His Greek parents came to settle in Paris. In 1936, he joined the ''Mané'' (''The Little Singers of Paris'') located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. Jacques Mikaël Der Mikaëlian better known as Jacques Hélian (born in Paris, 7 June 1912 - died 29 June 1986), was a famous French orchestra conductor for French music-hall. Biography Born of an Armenian father (descendant of Armenian bourgeoisie) and a French mother, at 16 he entered school of dentistry, but left his studies to pursue his love of music studying saxophone with Raymond Legrand (Legrand married Jacques's sister Marcelle). He commenced his musical career playing saxo alto, saxo baryton and clarinet in Roland Dorsay's orchestra and later in Jo Bouillon's and in Ray Ventura's orchestra. He also performed in French live radio broadcasts releasing a number of recordings before World War II. Called for military service in 1939, he became a prisoner of war until his liberation in March 1943 for health reasons. After his release, he formed a small orchestra and performed on radio.
