The False Millionaire
''The False Millionaire'' (Swedish: ''Falska millionären'') is a 1931 French-Swedish comedy film directed by Paul Merzbach and starring Fridolf Rhudin, Zarah Leander and Annalisa Ericson.Wallengren p.53 It was shot at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm and on location in the city. The film's sets were designed by the art director Vilhelm Bryde and Arne Åkermark. A separate French-language version ''Mon coeur et ses millions'' was also produced. Paul Merzbach
Paul Merzbach (27 November 1888 – September 1943) was an Austrian screenwriter and film director. Merzbach worked in the Austrian and Germany film industries during the early stages of his career. He worked initially on scripts, but in 1924 he directed his first film. During the late 1920s, Merzbach worked in Sweden before returning to Germany. Following the Nazi rise to power in 1933, Merzbach went into exile in Britain.Brinson, Dove & Taylor p.139 He worked in the British film industry for the remainder of his career. Location shooting is the shooting of a film or television production in a real-world setting rather than a sound stage or backlot. The location may be interior or exterior. Emma Meissner, née ''Ekström'' (30 October 1866 in Karlstad – 20 November 1942 in Stockholm) was a Swedish people, Swedish soprano and actress. Biography Emma Olivia Ekström was born in Karlstad to Johan Fredrik Ekström and Anna Brita Pettersson. She worked in the choir at ''Mindre teatern'' in Stockholm 1881–1883. Karl Erik "Bullen" Berglund (30 June 1887 – 27 April 1963) was a Sweden, Swedish actor, director and writer. Berglund was one of Sweden's most popular male actors in Swedish films from the 1930s to the 1950s. He appeared in more than a hundred films.
