''The Fall of Terra'' is a compilation of adventures that was published by FASA in 1996 for the mecha role-playing game '' BattleTech''. Contents ''The Fall of Terra'' is a soft-cover book by Chris Hartford and Bryan Nystul, with artwork by Tom Baxa, John Bridegroom, Storn Cook, Kevin Long, James Nelson, Mike Nielsen, and Christopher Trevas, and cover art by Doug Chaffee. The book contains a compilation of sixteen ''BattleTech'' adventures that describe the story of the struggle for Earth between enemy groups. The book also includes special rules for moving on ice, snow and mud. Some of the adventures require rules and data from previously published source books '' BattleSpace'', '' MechWarrior'', and '' MechWarrior Companion''. FASA
Fasa ( fa, فسا, Fasā, also Romanized as Fassa) is a city and capital of Fasa County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 110,825, in 33,379 families. Fasa is the fourth most populous city of the province. The city dates back to the Achaemenid period. Fasa's economy is based on agriculture and Pastoralism. Jahrom, Darab, Sarvestan, Kherameh and Estahban are neighbours of Fasa. This city is located on the road from Shiraz to Kerman, This has made Fasa a strategic and important city. Thomas M. Baxa is an artist whose work has appeared in role-playing games. Biography Tom Baxa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. He enrolled at Northern Illinois University, where he studied under comic and fantasy artist Mark Nelson. Kevin Long (artist)
Kevin Long is a graphic artist best known for his airbrush paintings and black-and-white illustrations in the genres of science fiction and fantasy. He was a principal artist at Palladium Books from 1986 until 1995 and served as one of the original contributors to the '' Rifts'' role-playing game (RPG) series. Biography Kevin Long grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he majored in advertising illustration. Upon graduating, Long worked in the local advertising industry. Having completed a five-year stint in his chosen profession, he was lured away by the artistic and creative freedom offered by Palladium Books. While there, Long built his reputation as one of the most popular illustrators in the role-playing industry. Doug Chaffee
Douglas Stewart Chaffee (January 24, 1936 – April 26, 2011) was an American artist whose work appeared in role-playing games as well as military and Christian publications. Early life and education Chaffee was the son of Ralph and Marjorie Chaffee and grew up in Upstate New York. He served in the United States Army and then in the Army National Guard. He studied art and history at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Career After college, Chaffee worked at IBM for nearly 20 years, eventually becoming head of the Art Department. Rick Swan is a game designer and author who worked for TSR. His work for TSR, mostly for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, appeared from 1989 to 1995. TSR (company)
TSR, Inc. was an American game publishing company, best known as the original publisher of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D''). Its earliest incarnation, Tactical Studies Rules, was founded in October 1973 by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye. Gygax had been unable to find a publisher for ''D&D'', a new type of game he and Dave Arneson were co-developing, so founded the new company with Kaye to self-publish their products. Needing financing to bring their new game to market, Gygax and Kaye brought in Brian Blume in December as an equal partner. ''Dungeons & Dragons'' is generally considered the first tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), and established the genre. When Kaye died suddenly in 1975, the Tactical Studies Rules partnership restructured into TSR Hobbies, Inc. and accepted investment from Blume's father Melvin.
