The Fall Of Rome (film)
''The Fall of Rome'' ( it, Il crollo di Roma) is a 1963 Italian peplum film written and directed by Anthony Dawson. Plot Immediately following the death of Constantine the proconsul Junio resumed the persecutions against Christians. Among them is the centurion Mark, who manages to escape arrest and, together with her sister Licia, sets out on a journey to the consul Gaius. Attacked by soldiers of Valerio, Marco is saved with the help of a barbarian tribe, but loses Licia. Junio promises to Marco that all Christians will be freed if he agrees to fight in the arena and manages to defeat all his opponents. Accompanied by Svetla, a girl barbarian, Marco fights and returns freedom to Christians, but suddenly an earthquake strikes. Anthony Dawson (film Director)
Antonio Margheriti (19 September 1930 – 4 November 2002), also known under the pseudonyms Anthony M. Dawson and Antony Daisies ("daisies" is "margherite" in Italian), was an Italians, Italian filmmaker. Margheriti worked in many different film genre, genres in the Italian film industry, and was known for his sometimes derivative but often stylish and entertaining science fiction film, science fiction, sword and sandal, horror film, horror/giallo, Eurospy, Spaghetti Western, Vietnam War film, Vietnam War and Action film, action movies that were released to a wide international audience. Giancarlo Sbragia (14 March 1926 – 28 June 1994) was an Italian actor, voice actor, stage director and playwright. Life and career Born in Rome, Sbragia graduated at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1947, and debuted on stage at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, with the theatrical company of Giorgio Strehler. He debuted as a playwright in 1953 with the play ''Le veglie inutili'', and in 1956 he debuted as a stage director with the drama ''Ricorda con rabbia''. Renato Terra (26 July 1922 in Naples – 28 November 2010 in Rome) had a career working in film as an actor, and has appeared in over 80 movies. In 1977 he retired to become a poet. Young, he attended the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Rome and also used the alias Ryan Earthpick during his career. During the shooting of a film, he fell from a horse and permanently broke his nose. During his post-actor career as a poet, he published the book ''Che Strano Paese''. Maria Laura Rocca (5 October 1917 – 6 May 1999) was an Italian actress and writer. Life and career Born Maria Laura Gayno in Pasian di Prato, Udine, Rocca spent her adolescence in Genoa, her mother's birthplace. After acting in some amateur dramatics, she studied drama under Teresa Franchini, with whom she also made her professional debut on stage at 30 years old. In films, she was mainly active in supporting roles in adventure and Peplum film genre, peplum genres, sometimes credited as Manuela Kent. She retired from acting in the mid-1960s. In 1959, she was the author of the book ''Cina senza muraglia'', and in 1969, she wrote the film ''Mr. Superinvisible'', being credited as Mary Eller. Career Buccella won the Miss Trento, Miss Venice, and Miss Italy beauty pageants, and placed third in the Miss Europe 1959 competition. She represented Italy in the 1959 Miss Universe contest held in Long Beach, California.
