"The End Is the Beginning Is the End" is a Grammy Award-winning song by American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. Released as a single by the Smashing Pumpkins in the aftermath of their 1995 album ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'', it was their first release with drummer Matt Walker, who would go on to contribute percussion to several tracks of '' Adore'' and all of James Iha's '' Let It Come Down''. The song reached the top 10 in eight countries and won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance. The Smashing Pumpkins (also referred to as simply Smashing Pumpkins) are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Jimmy Chamberlin
James Joseph Chamberlin (born June 10, 1964) is an American drummer and record producer. He is best known as the drummer for the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. Following the 2000 breakup of the band, Chamberlin joined Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan in the supergroup Zwan and also formed his own group, the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex. In 2005, Chamberlin joined Corgan in reforming The Smashing Pumpkins; he eventually left the group in March 2009, though he returned again in 2015 for a summer tour. He performed in the group Skysaw until 2012. He is currently active under the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex name.
