''The Edifying and Joyous Story of Colinot'' (french: L'histoire très bonne et très joyeuse de Colinot Trousse-Chemise) is a 1973 French comedy film directed and written by Nina Companéez. Francis Huster stars as the title character, Colinot. It is notable as the final film appearance of Brigitte Bardot who retired from the entertainment industry when the film went into post-production. Plot Colinot's (Huster) world is turned upside down when his fiancee is kidnapped. This leads him to dangerous chase around 15th century France only to find that she has found love in the arms of a nobleman. Nina Companeez (26 August 1937 Р9 April 2015) was a French screenwriter and film director. Nina Companeez was the younger daughter of Russian Jewish ̩migr̩ screenwriter Jacques Compan̩ez and younger sister of contralto Ir̬ne Companeez. She was the mother of actress Valentine Varela. Michael Marshall (September 13, 1944 – June 2, 2005) was a French American actor. Early life and career Marshall was born in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a hospital in Hollywood on September 13, 1944. When his parents divorced, his father made sure that he received an American education. He began studying law, but dreamed of becoming an actor. He later joined his mother in Paris.
