The Dyad
The Dyad is a British professional wrestling tag team consisting of Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, currently performing in WWE on the NXT brand. They are members of The Schism stable alongside Joe Gacy and Ava Raine. Reid and Fowler were previously known as the Grizzled Young Veterans and went by the names James Drake and Zack Gibson, respectively. They were the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions, as well as being three-time Progress Tag Team Champions. History Progress Wrestling (2017–2019) In 2017, Zack Gibson and James Drake formed a villainous tag team called Grizzled Young Veterans. Grizzled Young Veterans defeated Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos of CCK to become the Progress Tag Team Champions. They successfully defended the titles against Aussie Open at Progress Chapter 59. At Chapter 61, Grizzled Young Veterans defeated Moustache Mountain to retain their championships. Zack Gibson
Jack Rea (born 8 August 1990) is an English professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Rip Fowler. He is also known for his work as Zack Gibson on the UK independent circuit. He formed the tag team Grizzled Young Veterans with James Drake (now known as Jagger Reid) in 2017, becoming the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions and three-time Progress Tag Team Champions. Early life Rea was born in Liverpool on 8 August 1990. He grew up in nearby Maghull, where he attended Deyes High School. He graduated with a degree in accounting and finance from Liverpool John Moores University in 2011. Before wrestling, he played football. Mark Andrews (wrestler)
Mark Andrews (born 25 January 1992) is a Welsh professional wrestler and musician. He is most well known for his time in WWE where he performed on the NXT UK brand. Andrews was one of the first Welsh Champions in WWE history alongside tag team partner Flash Morgan Webster. He is also known for his time in impact Wrestling (TNA) under the ring name Mandrews. He is also the bassist and co-lead vocalist of the band Junior. Professional wrestling career Independent circuit (2006–2016) Andrews started training at the age of 13, upon discovery of the NWA Wales training school in Newport. As well as training there under Edd Ferris, Andrews would travel to Kent three times a year to attend NWA UK Hammerlock's training camps, where he learned off the likes of John Ryan, Paul Tracey and Andre Baker. Time Splitters were a professional wrestling tag team formed by Kushida and Alex Shelley. They were best known for their time with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). They are former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions while Kushida was a three time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion during the team's existence. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is an annual professional wrestling tag team tournament held by the American promotion WWE, and is featured on its NXT brand, having first been established in 2015. In subsequent years, wrestlers from the NXT UK and 205 Live brands—both of which are subsidiary/sister brands under the NXT banner—have also been included. While originally just for men, a women's version of the tournament was introduced in 2021 and runs concurrently with the men's tournament. Blackpool
Blackpool is a seaside resort town in Lancashire, England. It is located on the Irish Sea coast of the Fylde peninsula, approximately north of Liverpool and west of Preston.
