The eighth series of the British children's television series ''The Dumping Ground'' began broadcasting on 10 January 2020 on CBBC CBBC (initialised as Children's BBC and also known as the CBBC Channel) is a British free-to-air Public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, public broadcast children's television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It is also the bran ... and ended on 5 February 2021. The series follows the lives of the children living in the fictional children's care home of Ashdene Ridge, nicknamed by them "The Dumping Ground". It consisted of twenty-four, thirty-minute episodes. It is the 16th series in The Story of Tracy Beaker franchise. Kia Pegg
Kia May Pegg (born 29 June 2000) is an English actress and television presenter. She portrayed Jody Jackson in the British children's drama show ''Tracy Beaker Returns'' (2012), as well as the spin-off series ''The Dumping Ground'' (2013–2022). Then in 2022, Pegg began appearing in the BBC soap opera ''Doctors'' as receptionist Scarlett Kiernan. Alongside appearing in the soap, she occasionally presents ''Saturday Mash-Up!'' for CBBC, having previously appeared on their live links. Life and career Pegg was born in Birmingham on 29 June 2000 to boxing trainer and promoter, Jonathan and Rachel Pegg and has two younger brothers. Pegg began training at Birmingham Stage School Showbiz and her first acting appearing was in an advertisement showing how to perform swine flu protocols. In 2008, she made an appearance on ''The Legend of Dick and Dom'', followed by a role in the 2010 film ''Toast''.

Jessica Revell (born 13 December 1994) is an English actress and singer, best known for her TV role as Mandy "Elektra" Perkins in ''Tracy Beaker Returns'' and in the BBC spin-off series ''The Dumping Ground''. Early and personal life Revell's parents, who are separated, both worked for British Airways, and she has a brother. Revell spent her childhood travelling due to her parents' jobs and spent some of her childhood in France. Gary John Webster (born 3 February 1964 in Whitechapel, east London) is an English actor. Webster's first major TV role was in ''EastEnders'' playing Graham Clark from 1987 until 1988. He later became better known for playing Ray Daley in the television series ''Minder'', replacing Dennis Waterman as George Cole's on-screen sparring partner in the series.
